10.5%ABV. Imperial porter. Poured out black and oily. 40 SRM. Nose is brown sugar, Muscovado sugar and molasses and of course maple sugar and maple syrup. Coconut candy and gula melaka also in the nose. Mouthfeel is syrupy and like iced Vietnamese coffee. Palate has roasted, sweet, milky, creamy flavors. Palate has honey dates and deeply roasted barley grains or dark barley toast. Hint of black bread body, hint of rye sour with a nice spicy hit. Boozy but entirely smoothly hidden. Hop flavors are charcoal, wood and burnt twigs. Finish is surprisingly clean without clingy flavors or textures. Warming on the back of the throat and in the chest. Overall, it was like drinking a very smoothly put together Vietnamese coffee. Put another way, it was a big complex imperial stout that was amazingly smooth on the palate and incredibly well-balanced. Masterfully put together and I totally got the point of the ale with all the flavors doing exactly what they were supposed to do to evoke a coconut maple toast. Would definitely recommend this as a sipping beer or a dessert beer. Goes on Favorites List! Goes on All Time Favorites List!

Kwintesencja i wyznacznik piwa deserowego.

OMBF. Ciasto czekoladowe polane syropem klonowym i wanilią. Gorzko czekoladowy finisz. Pyszności.

Draught @ One More Beer Festival. Dark, small head, coconut, cookies, vanilla, pralines, bourbon. Sweet and bitter. Thick, oily, good carbonation.

OMB kran. Jak zwykle u tego browaru niezwykle intensywny i zawiesisty aromat, syrop klonowy, czekolada, kokos, czekoladowe ciasto. W smaku słodkie, czekoladowe, syrop klonowy zastosowany z umiarem, ciasto kakaowe i czekoladowe, kokos, wanilia. Pyszne i świetne

Aroma: 9
Heavy aroma of malts, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, mocha, roasted malts and coffee.

Appearance: 5
Opaque black beer with no/a slight dark brown head.

Taste/Palate: 10/5
Starts heavy sweet with malts, caramel, vanilla, chocolate and mocha; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and coffee.

Overall: 19
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Amazing flavour full of vanilla, maple and chocolate with a great roasted malts and coffee at the end. Perfect appearance and palate as well, but the aroma could have been slightly better.

First time ever - I actually felt MAPLE SYRUP in beer. Outstanding aroma. Perfect one.
