0,375l bottle at home from a trade shared with 4. BB 01/2018. black color, almost no head. smells rather alcoholic, bourbon, dried fruits, raisins, marzipan, nutty, rather alcoholic, good smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes rather alcoholic, bourbon, dried fruits, licorice, some roast. finishes alcoholic and lightly roasty with notes of dried fruits and bourbon. overall good stuff, but quite heavy and alcoholic. i like it but maybe winter is a better time to drink this.

Thanks angst for the bottle. A stout made with syrup from Vermont in Sweden. Whoa. Pours like motor oil. Thick and syrupy. Two finger brown and creamy head appears at the very end of the pour. Fades quickly. Even at 40F, the aroma is potent. Almond joy, vanilla, coconut, chocolate and cream. Smells decadent. The flavor. Marshmallow and ashy charcoal and smoke. It’s just too burnt tasting for my preference. It is very close in aroma and mouthfeel to BCS but the flavor lacks the sweetness and long lasting flavor of the big honcho. It’s a very nice beer. The 375 split is perfect.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2016 Black color. Syrup aromas, vanilla, bourbon and wood. Heavy suryp taste, bourbon vanilla, caramel, raisins, wood. Sweet finish. Not very balanced. Edit: Retried this after a year of cellaring. Much more balanced taste, leaving more room for the bourbon flavors and less for the syrup.

Bottle thanks to Randall. Nose is light smoke with a sweet sugary boozy aroma. Modest maple. Light bacon. Taste follows with a lightly medicinal or minty phenolic that detract from base beer. Nice
