Bottled. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Smells licorice, coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate. Tastes roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and slight bitterness with a similar finish.

(Bottle). Nice soft scent of chocolate, tart fruit, roasted malt and smoke, but also some vague not so nice aroma of barn. The taste is silky smooth with slightly tart fruity tones (the maple syrup?) and rich flavors of chocolate and roasted malt. The aftertaste has a nice dry bitterness and warming alcohol. Recommended!

Strong Imperial Stout aroma with a little sweetness. The taste is heavy and a little dryness. No carbonic acid. The aftertaste is left for a long while. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013, 10/08/13. Light black with a thin tan head. Nose is big old roasty malts, oaky booze, earthy, a little harsh on the alcohol notes, minerals. The taste is a little more refined than the aroma, earthy, gritty, cocoa, dark fruits, dark toffee, light hoppy backnotes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, lightly cloying in the finish with a touch of warming booze. Decent enough but no show stopper for the premier style!

Pours pitch black with a small mocha head. Aroma is chocolate, espresso coffee, muscovado sugar, vanilla, some hazelnut. Taste is lovely, a great balance of chocolate, coffee, honey, vanilla, dark red berries. Mouthfeel is creamy as hell with a very nice texture. Great stuff and Omnipollo’s best so far hands down!

ChrisO’s Pre GBBF ’Are You Scottish?’ tasting. Opaque dark brown - black beer. Good tan head. Softish palate. Semi dry. Mild minerals. Tangy dark malts and dark fruits. Light smoke and spice. Touch of dark chocolate. Light dry finish. Tasty. Lacks the sumptuous vibe of the very best.

Big bottle from SB cons and shared 2013-08-24 Göteborg AR: smokey perhaps even peaty, honey, nectar AP: pitch black, high frothy dark brown sugary head F: smokey, dark chocolate, salt liqurice, black coffey, warming feeling, honey, soya, thick oily beverage, sugary grainy feeling, needs storage to calm down a bit - a few years...

Bottle. Pours black with a small espresso coloured head. Aroma is soft, nothing takes overhand. Roasted malt, smooth coffee, vanilla, sweet notes. Taste is sweet with coffee, vanilla, cream, roasted malt, dark chocolate and then some more coffee as well as slight syrup, dates and a slight heat at the end. Full bodied, low carbonation, a bit to low for my taste. Smooth mouth feel and a dry roasted bitter after taste.
Reminded me quite a lot of Black Hole, but with more roast.

[email protected] Apperance: Black with a very dark, brown, head. Aroma: Chocolate, Licorice, Coffee. Taste: Chocolate, Coffee, Licorice, Smoke and salty soysauce. Palate: Thick and overpowering. Light carbonation. Where is the maple-syrup in this? I think this stout would have been alot better if it was aged on maply-syrup-barrels than just adding it at the brewing. My first disappointing brew from Omnipollo.
