22oz bottle pours dark oily brown-black with thin layer of head. Nose is earthy roast ground coffee and ashy cocoa, notes of boozy sweetness as it warms. Taste is creamy and smooth, rich burnt coffee and cocoa, hints of maple, bitter chocolate, slightly boozy. Finish is bitter roast cocoa and coffee with subtle maple and vanilla. Excellent. ekstedt (6976) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 17, 2014

Bottle @ Chriso’s pre-GBBF Shindig. Deep brown pour with a tiny tan head. Maple oatmeal chocolate cookie nose. Nicely sweet and inviting. More oatmeal chocolate cookie flavors. Light toasty cocoa. Smooth toffee. Just a hint of ash on the finish. Supple, oily body. Straightforward, tasty. kerenmk (5168) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JAN 4, 2014
Bottle sample at a tasting at Tempo. Thanks zvikar. Black, opaque withthin brown ring. Smoky, a little wooden aroma, dry, wood and a little bitter taste, full body, smooth, wooden finish. Quite amazing. gyllenbock (9846) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle bought at Systembolaget in August 2013.
Pours a nice thick black liquid with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and some resin. The mouthfeel was unexpectedly soft with dark chocolate, roasted malt and something sweet. The finish was fairly bitter. A nice one.

Dark black-brown body, medium sized tan head, spotty lacing. Roast, coffee, dark chocolate, brown sugar, earthy smoke. Full bodied, appropriate carbonation, bold finish. fidelis83 (2509) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - DEC 12, 2013
Deep black pour with a thin, oily brown head. Aroma is loaded with roast, bittersweet chocolate, over roasted nuts, deep woody notes, earth and a little leathery tannin. Flavor starts off, crazy strong with roast, but a fairly mellow roast that doesn’t come off as too bitter or burnt, despite being super intense, lots of bittersweet chocolate, a little coffee, some burnt sugar, sweet woody notes (can’t really pin it down to maple) sweet potato, sweet tobacco pipe smoke, a decent helping of herbal, pine and citrus hops along with a dark fruit and port wine sort of fruitiness to the finish. Huge, heavy body, creamy and chewy, without being too sticky light, but blanketing carbonation. I really like this beer, really hit the spot in this sub zero weather. jandd1983 (4604) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - DEC 3, 2013
It poured a hazy black color with a tan head. The aroma was of heavy roasted chocolate malts, coffee and some dark sweet notes. It had a medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. The taste was of heavy complex and a dark sweet flavor with a moderate to heavy smooth dark sweet finish. Very nice. Dark opaque brown color, small brown head. Sweetish, roasty aroma. Full-bodied. Roasted, a bit coffeish, alcoholic, sweetish (maple cyrup!). Some lingering roasted-hoppy notes.
