pilsnerrogge (2945) - Finspång, SWEDEN - OCT 25, 2013
Pitch black with a mid-sized, creamy head. Aroma is roasted malt, honey, smoked meat and some alcohol. Silky smooth and somewhat sticky mouth feel. Flavour is char coal, honey, licorice and warming alcohol.

Bomber into a tulip Thanks to Baggio for the bottle Big, black and bold look. Dark brown leather head. Lots of spotty lacing and huge amounts of residual oil left over. Looks like a beast in the glass. Nose is huge. Lots of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, char, burnt tires and maple syrup. Really well balanced and the ABV is there but well hidden. Flavors stand out real well. Taste is huge. Lots of roasted malt, chocolate, maple, char, roasted oak, and just amped up flavors. Really bold flavors. Feel is thick, chewy, bold and dry. Low carbonation and just huge. Highly suggested. Top notch imperial stout, not for the faint though

Wow! Chocolate, licorice, roasted malts, vanilla - very heavy but also quite easy to drink. Very, very nice!

hirigalzkar (3158) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 15, 2013
Bottle. Pours black with a beige head. Sugary and sticky. Heavy notes of burned malts. Quite bitter. Still. Bit too young. Tastes a lot like Hypno...

finol (3385) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2013
Bottle at home. Pours Heavy black and gets a nice Brown head when you swirl the glasl. Taste of Heavy rosted, slightly burnt malt, soy sauce and some syrupy sweetness. Very similar to Hypnopompa, but less smooth and flattering.

mansquito (6425) - Nueva York, New York, USA - SEP 29, 2013
Spuytin Duyvil, Brooklyn tap ($9): Pours black (my pour was to the tip top, so I didn’t see much head). Aroma is chocolate, syrup, roasted malts, a teenth of coffee. Flavor is somewhat sweet, but not cloying. Roasted malts and chocolate flavors mingle well together. High ABV is adequately covered. Easy to drink and quite flavorful.

italianjohn (3130) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 26, 2013
Black deepest black pour you can get, this beer came out like used oil and was very thick .... small bubbly tan head with light sticky lacing .... aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark fruits and a tar earthyness ..... taste is of tar, roasted malts, bitter chalky dark chocolate, bitter oily resiny hops and molasses .... mouthfeel is thick, slick and oily with a full body and dry as all heck bitterly roasted finish ... a huge beer with the abv hidden very well
