From tap at Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam. Big dessert aroma with tons of chocolate, cappuccino, mocha, vanilla, soft Bourbon, notes of marshmallow (but less than the original beer), candy, chocolate cake, and a little booze. Flavour is sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Full and rich body. I didn't expect the Bourbon to be so subtle. The board did say "Bourbon". Will have to check it out from bottle one day. Ayway, great balanced delicacy, great beer.

Pours clear, black oily color, with creamy brown head. Aroma; coffe, vanilla, cocoa nibs, marhmallow, gentle bourbon (without the heat), vanillin.. flavor: intense espresso coffee note, supported with notes of bourbon (just a hint, butvmore noticeable when it warms up!), vanillin (vanilla beans!), cocoa beans, hint of licorice, hint of peat..finish is slightly sticky dry, roasted bitter. Body is full, texture velvetly, carbonation is moderate. Typical Omnipollo character, desert beer, brewed to drink it fresh. This one is for sure not proper for aging. Technicaly perfectly brewed imperial stout but still prefer regular version.

Bottle [from trade with namebeer00] @ home shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Opaque black color, average sized beige to brown head. Aroma is malts, bourbon, lightly red fruits, red berries. Taste malts, bourbon, red berries, nice malt bitter, some fruit bitterness as well, vanilla, dark chocolate bitter. Medium body, decent carbonation. Quite nice.

Pitch black. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, some coconut and roasted malts. Moderately sweet, coffee notes are slightly acidic, finish is rather bitter. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. In overall good one, but I think the reg version is just a slight better.

Tap at Alehouse. Pours black with a low beige foam. Aroma is bourbon, cookie dough, chocolate, caramel, coffee. Body is heavy and strong, boozy and sweet, yet not overwhelming. Good bourbon notes. Lingering cookie palate. Good!

Sweet, rich, dark chocolate, pralines, bourbon, vanilla, very sweet coffee. Black, small, creamy, beige head. Heavy sweet. More sweet, rich, dark chocolate, high in cacao, creamy, oily texture, coffee, dark roast malts, bourbon medium bitterness appearing, soft carbonation, full bodied, alcoholic bitterness with toasted flavours in the finish. Amazing Impy, so much better than the non-BA version, luscious, rich, opulent. Keg at The Bottle Shop, Bermondsey.

Keg at bottle shop druid Street. A jet black coloured pour with a lasting thin mid tan head. Aroma is woody earthy boozy, fruit cake, bourbon, dried fruits, hot alcohol. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, vanilla and oak, smooth choc and praline,. Palate is sweet and smooth, velvety, creamy, little oak tannin. Lingering Warming Bourbon.

A 330ml bottle (gold cap, bourbon ba) with a best before date of 20th July 2023. Poured into a snifter. It was a black colour with pretty much no head or lacing. Aromas of strong bourbon, vanilla and brown sugar with hints of coffee, star anise and marshmallow. Tastes of liquorice, bourbon, chocolate, coffee, oak and vanilla. There is a slight smokiness on the finish and also a hint of dark fruit. Full bodied with low carbonation. Overall, I’m not sure what happened here as I normally enjoy Omnipollo stouts much more. For me, I think there was just too much liquorice and bourbon which overpowered everything else.

Kolsvart med ljusbrunt skum. Doftar och smakar sirap, kaffe och choklad. Lite tunn
