COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tired of talking my friends into pit stops at beer bars before heading “out” - in fear of having to drink bland lager all night - I set out to craft an ale that would act as companion throughout the evening. Leon is assertively hopped and fermented dry using champagne yeast. The yeast and the hops in combination with a simple malt bill provides the beer with a quality of being rich in taste yet refreshing.

When i first had this bber a few years ago in Linköping beer Expo it blew my mind. A fantastic beer that set the bar for Omnipollo. Dry, floral, white-whineish.. Great!!

The aroma is full of the typical Belgian yeast and pretty nothing much else, well champagen yeast but is still has the Belgian vibe. The color is caramellike. The taste is full of hay, grass, oats, citrus and yeast. Not impressive at all!

On tap at Cafe Rooster, Oulu Finland. Pours amber with small white head. Grapefruit, orange, pine, yeast. Nice long bitter finish. The yeast makes the finish kind of dry too. Good one.

Nez: Fruité, floral
Bouche: Maltée, citron, pêche, florale, épicée
Une bière bien faite qui est très florale avec des notes de pêche et de citron. Pour une Belgian Pale Ale, je ne m'attendais pas à ça.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear dark amber colour with a huge creamy off-white head. Aroma of fruity hops, grapefruit, mango, oranges and phenols but also dry hay, pine, herbs and grass. The flavour is more grassy and with grapefruit, hops, pine and some dry hay. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a medium to heavy bitterness. A quite hoppy ale with a very fruity aroma. The champagne yeast creates a nice head.

Draft. Hazy orange body, big white head. The aroma has hops and fruits. The taste is earthy and very full.

Piana wysoka, ale mydlana, szybko opada do chmurki. Barwa złota, opalizująca. W zapachu przyjemne połączenie dojrzałych cytrusów typu pomarańcze, estrów typu suszone morele i nutek siana, ziół... W smaku powtórka, dość wytrawne, z posmakiem nafty, gumy balonowej i landrynek. Goryczka średnia, nieco ściągająco trawiasta. Wysycenie średnie, nieźle pijalne w odbiorze.

Zaskakująco przyjemne Belgian Ale, zupełnie inne, bardziej nowofalowe, cytrusowo chmielowe podejście w porównaniu do tradycyjnego, nieco mdłego La Trappe Blond czy Engelszell Nivard Trappistenbier.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2017 Jävligt god. Rejält skummig men ganska poröst skum. Mycket smak av humle och citrus.

Very well done beer. Wonderful belgian yeast aromas and flavors. Peaches. Like a peach cobbler. Would totally drink again

mandelbeer (23) - Malmo, SWEDEN - OCT 19, 2017
Cloudy, pale orange beer. Vigorously carbonated with medium-sized bubbles, producing a large dense white head. Aroma is vinous and fruity: lemon, lime, biscuit, caramel and bread dough. This is followed by notes reminiscent of a white ine: green grapes, peaches, and gooseberry. Finally, some graininess and earthiness towards the end. Remarkably refreshing, and fizzy on the palate.
