COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not particularly fond of this style, I wanted to craft a dark beer with the brightest flavours. Pitch black in color but with bright aromas of mango. Blind tasted you’d be forgiven for thinking that this was a glass of mango juice. Henok

Swaroga (2224) - Warszawa, POLAND - AUG 13, 2016
33cl bottle. Beer has a dark brown color with bits in it. Head is dark beige and medium size. The beer has a very nice aroma of vanilla, peanuts, milk with hazel nuts, some mango and pineapple, marshmallow....overall not what I expected from Mango Black IPA but still very nice and intriguing. Medium thick, soft and creamy mouth feel. Delicate carbonation. The beer is medium sweet, roasted notes adds some little acidity and a bit of bitterness. The bitterness is 1/3 roasted the rest is zest and fruit seeds. Very pleasant.

Bottle. 33cl sample. The aroma has light roast, lots of mango/tropical fruit. Bit hazy, dark brown coloured beer with a thin head. The taste is moderate bitter with some toffee fruit sweetness, has light roast, light chocolate, massive tropical fruits. Dry finish. Awesome stuff.

330 ml. bottle. BBF 19-02-2017. Black, little mocha head, patchy. Nose is cheesy hop with big bitter herbal quality, red fruit thick syrupy malts, I can pick out some mango peel if I really want to. Taste is bitter herbal, rather syrup, low cheesy hops, hugely bitter grapefruit peel only, bitter coffee, very bitter tropical fruit, I can pick out some mango peel if I wanted to. Bitterness is very heavy. Mainly very bitter grapefruit, faint coffee grounds, bitter herbal with an overriding interesting cheesy quality. I want to believe in the mango peel (getting zero of the fruit flesh even if I try my best). Faint bitter plastic, pretty interesting. There is no way that I could take this for a glass of mango juice as promised.

Pours black with low light tan head. Aroma of coffee, citrus, chocolate, light tropical fruit. Taste is fruit sweet up front followed by a lingering coffee bitter finish. Quite nicely balanced. Body is light and smooth with soft carbonation.

Svart men ljusbrunt skum. Smaker som kaffe, citrus och en hit av choklad. Bitter kaffesmak avslutar det hela.

Bottle. Aroma of cocoa powder, coco pops, orange, tangerine. Pours very black with a beige one finger creamy head. Taste is more fruity than the aroma - oranges, mango, lemon peel at first. Finishes more malt forward with cocoa and a slight roastiness. Medium body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, average to soft carbonation. Definitely one of the better black IPA’s out there. Could need a bit more fruity hop presence though.

Bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of smoke, mango, caramel. Medium body, low to medium carbonation. Bitter coffee finish. Bitter and sweet, I taste mango and smoke. There is mucho here that I like.

330ml bottle from Saveur Biere. Pours pitch black with a subtle, teasing mango aroma. Taste is big, meaty cascadian roast with fleeting hints of mango. Like Mikkeller’s Yuzu porter, this needs more fruit, although more does start to emerge as it warms.

cagou007 (1238) - FRANCE - JUL 13, 2016
Pours deep black with thin brown head. Nose is rotten mango or trashbin juice, not great at all. Aromas are roasted malts, coffee, ripped mango. Very astringent. Low carbonation, light body. Long bitter finish. Very bad surprise from Omnipollo... Don't like this one at all: nose is disastrous, mouth feeling is terrible and aftertaste awful. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ home. Absolutely love it. Black, hoppy, very fruity, roasty, coffee, chocolate. Awesome combination and a superb black ipa.
