Mazarin is my take on a “thinker’s beer”. Rather than being big and undecipherably complex I wanted to create something that would calm a hop yearning nerve without fuddling the brain too much. In other words, a lavishly hopped ale of judicious ABV — an Extra Special Pale Ale if you will.
In fact, so extra special that it snatched a gold medal at the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2013.

No i wygląd wzorowy - chciałoby się takie apa w polskim krafcie ...

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 18B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 14/06/19). AROMA: medium-high hop aroma with complex citrus notes (lime, grapefruit, mandarin). slightly sweet and neutral malt background. APPEARANCE: pale gold color and clear. medium white head with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium hop notes (lime, grapefruit), followed by a soft, slightly sweet and neutral malt background. medium-high bitterness with na almost dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium to medium-high body with a slight velvety texture. medium carbonation. no astringency. OVERALL: a very nice pale ale, with a plethora of hop aromas.

pilsnerrogge (2984) - Finspång, SWEDEN - SEP 17, 2017
Pours hazy amber with a thick head. Hoppy aroma of nettles, goose berries and tropical fruit. Dry and harsh flavour with notes of tropical fruit and pine needles. Harsh finish.

Cunningham (8254) - Halden, NORWAY - SEP 17, 2017
Hazy golden color with a fine white head on top. Ok lacing. Looks good. Mellow and fine hoppy aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation level. Balanced sweetness and a nice bitterness. Long tail and a semi dry texture. Grapefruit/citric hoppy, fruity and pine in the flavor. Pleasant and dangerously session able beer.

Piwo lekko metne w kolorze jasno pomaranczowym nalewa sie z dosc obfita biala sredniopecherzykowa piana. Jest ananas, grejpfrut i pomarancze. Wszystko na swiezo i bardzo owocowo. Lekko slodkie z intensywna grejpfrutowa goryczka. Spora podbudowa slodowa i duzo chmielu.

SimonBlok (713) - GRONINGEN, NETHERLANDS - AUG 18, 2017
33cl bottle at home. Appearance: hazy pale straw with medium white head. Aroma: pineapple, lime, orange, hoppy. Taste: medium sweetness and pretty high bitterness. Notes of orange, tangerine, pineapple, hop resin and some oatmeal character. Palate: medium bodied, watery texture and lively carbonation. Refreshing and tasteful. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the bottle, poured into a tumbler. Sharp yet restrained carbonation with bright zest, fierce hop & hints of tropical fruit on the nose. Intense, yet clean and refreshing over every sip. Rich biscuit malt on the back end finishing beautifully dry. Definitely a thinking beer, lots going on - yet impeccably balanced. A beer i have extreme difficulty faulting. Power to you Henok

axl (1030) - Lund, SWEDEN - AUG 15, 2017
Draught. Clear golden with one finger white head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit zest, lime, orange, light caramel and oats. Taste is citrus, grapefruit, clean oats, light orange, light grapefruit and light floral hop notes. Medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation and clean hoppy aftertaste.
