COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mazarin is my take on a “thinker’s beer”. Rather than being big and undecipherably complex I wanted to create something that would calm a hop yearning nerve without fuddling the brain too much. In other words, a lavishly hopped ale of judicious ABV — an Extra Special Pale Ale if you will.
In fact, so extra special that it snatched a gold medal at the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2013.

29/X/12 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Erwin’s place - BB: 14/V/14 (2012-1223) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the beer!

Clear golden orange beer, huge rocky off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: citrus, piny hops, very fruity, pineapple, passion fruits, sweet ripe mango. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity, littl sweet start, citrus, bitter grassy hops, more pineapple, piny touch. Aftertaste: bitter and fruity, passion fruit, sweet mango, dry bitter ending.

Golden color with lasting thick white head. Complex nose with notes of pine, citrus, oats, some fruits. Taste is hops, raspberry and grains/straw. Some bitternes, moderately lasting taste. Good beer.

Caňa en el V Artbeerfest Caminha 15.. 07.. 2017. (r462). Color amarillento velado con espuma blanca persistente. Sabores frescos cítricos y herbáceos con suave amargo final también herbáceo algo cítrico. Ligeros afrutados. Cuerpo medio fino espumoso. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda.

Draught at Rbabarrab. A bit on the hazy cloudy side with some really nice tropical fruit and hoppy notes.

on [email protected]: pours straw like golden, hazy, with fluffy long lasting white head. Aroma: intense hop profile with notes of citruses, especially grapfruit, slight flovery and fruity. Flavor follows aroma: biscuity malt bakbone, and intense hop character, with notes mentioned above. Hop bitteness is high, finish sligtly dry, bitter. Body is light, texture velvetly, carbonation is moderate.

It pours hazy bright golden colored body with a white frothy head. Aroma is citrusy. Grapefruit and orange with some tropical notes as well. A little grainy or oaty. Taste is very citrusy up front. Mainly grapefruit. Great bitterness for a pale ale, but also nicely fruity. Bitterness is long lasting. Smooth and oily mouthfeel, medium body, soft carbonation.

33cl bottle purchased @ Rock Out Shop. Robe paille avec une belle mousse onctueuse. Nez sur le litchi très prononcé. Attaque résineuse avec une astringence prononcée. Final sur l’amertume.

On tap at Micro Beers Richmond. Cloudy amber-gold with a lasting thin head. Milky lemony nose with a distant note of sage. Creamy-dry and bitter, light tropical fruit notes, herbal finish. Interesting, but not £7 a pint interesting.
