Mazarin is my take on a “thinker’s beer”. Rather than being big and undecipherably complex I wanted to create something that would calm a hop yearning nerve without fuddling the brain too much. In other words, a lavishly hopped ale of judicious ABV — an Extra Special Pale Ale if you will.
In fact, so extra special that it snatched a gold medal at the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2013.

11.2oz bottle in a lager glass. Pours amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of citrusy and floral hops, caramel malts, and a little toasted dough. Flavor the same with a good amount of hops and malts. Average texture. A good version of a pale ale, that I’d like to try fresher

It pours hazy bright golden colored body with a white frothy head. Aroma is citrusy. Grapefruit and orange with some tropical notes as well. A little grainy or oaty. Taste is very citrusy up front. Mainly grapefruit. Great bitterness for a pale ale, but also nicely fruity. Bitterness is long lasting. Smooth and oily mouthfeel, medium body, soft carbonation.

Light orange hazy with medium white creamy head. Nice citrus aroma with sweet fruity notes. Lasting bitter aftertaste.

33cl bottle purchased @ Rock Out Shop. Robe paille avec une belle mousse onctueuse. Nez sur le litchi trčs prononcé. Attaque résineuse avec une astringence prononcée. Final sur l’amertume.

On tap at Micro Beers Richmond. Cloudy amber-gold with a lasting thin head. Milky lemony nose with a distant note of sage. Creamy-dry and bitter, light tropical fruit notes, herbal finish. Interesting, but not Ł7 a pint interesting.

Tap. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is oat, orange juice, tangerines. Taste is grapefruit, resinous, oat. Bitter finish, silky mouthfeel. Interesting!

Opálos sárga szín, kicsi krémes fehér hab. Trópusi gyümölcsös illat. Közepes test és szénsav. Grapefruitos, ananászos, komlós íz. Jó keserű. Nagyon frissítő sör.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Lior D’s place. Bought at some grocery store in Athens, February 2017. Hazy amber-gold with a foamy white head. Fresh leafy aroma, a little pine and resin notes. Bitter, juicy, leafy taste. Fizzy, medium body, bitter, hoppy and green finish.

Zlotta (3210) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - MAY 27, 2017
Sampled from tap at ’Craftbeer Corner Coeln’. Hazy, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny and a bit yeasty-spicy aroma of peach, honey, clove and some lemongrass. Sweetish, slightly bitter, fruity-grassy and a bit herbal taste of lemongrass, peach, honey and some straw, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy and herbal-grassy finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

hesiodus (78) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 24, 2017
pine, cypress, tropical fruits, looks golden/pale, light sour, taste is soft but enyojable, nice beer
