"Moe". A wise man once told me that success makes you tired, fat and slow. Therefore, winning ”best of show” at the third largest beer festival in the world last month meant I had to brew a follow up.

Get fresh...and this time I mean it.

Keg at CASK. It pours clear orange-amber with a minimal beige head. The nose is orange, tangerine, mango, passion fruit, marmalade and sherbet. The taste is bitter-sweet, orange peel, grapefruit, pime, varnish, earth, resin and pepper with dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Rather nice. Smells pretty amazin.com

Light haze on this amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and luxuriantly soft with superfine carbonation. Airy creamy malt base. Seamless segue in to wonderful hops. There is orange and blood orange, a little orange peel and strong mango. Touches of skunk and grapefruit and whisper of lemon and pine. Finishes smooth. A bit of a stunner. Gorgeous hop fruits.

On tap @ Mikkeller & Friends. It’s as good as clear in the glass this, perhaps a faint blurr but mainly clear. In color it’s deep golden almost a bit honey looking and it has a small quickly sidesticking white top. Mild nose for a DIPA. A bit caramel oriented perhaps with fruity red fruity tones. Like how it tastes. Strong without being overpowering hoppy, it has a nice almost creamy feeling in the mouth and it’s quite grassy bitter. Green grass, green grapes and a little malt sweetness. Superbly balanced between the bitter and the sweet. A delicious DIPA from the Sweeds that impress me more and more. 11.01.2014

Not bad, however in the aroma next to citrus a little little funk. Flavours are slightly subdued, maybe old? However not to expressive. Small white head, medium body. Not great.
