"Moe". A wise man once told me that success makes you tired, fat and slow. Therefore, winning ”best of show” at the third largest beer festival in the world last month meant I had to brew a follow up.

Get fresh...and this time I mean it.

Golden-amber pour, clear but not transparent. It has a nice head, tall, soft and with excellent retention, plus plenty of lacing. The smell is quite promising - honey, flowers, resinous hops and dankness. The taste is a bit different than what I expected - super fucking malty and sweet up front, a bit like a watered down barley wine, followed by nice resinous hop notes, smokiness and saltiness. Salty and sweet aftertaste, medium body and a nice warmth due to the alcohol make this a good winter beer.

Keg at CBC Clapham, Craft 100, London. Unclear orange medium off-white head. Aroma is juicy fruity and resiny. Taste has mango, resin, citrus peel and caramel. Light booze. Good one

330ml bottle from Drygate. Hazy amber, big foamy head. Tropical fruit & grain aroma. Cats pee flavour. Sour aftertaste. Very disappointed with this one.

Keg @El Lúpulo Feroz, Oviedo. 10-11-2014.
In short: earthy bitter ale.
Pours hazy golden with nice white head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Fruity, peachy, tropical fruit, citrusy aromas. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste follows the nose, earthy, some resins, fruity, high bitterness, ends dry. Robust beer. Enjoyable.

brilliant orange with a nice off white head aroma has clean citrus hops with lots of more spicy grassy flavour which make it pretty dense... full sweet bitter body with a long citric finish great dipa

@ SBWF 2014: fantastisk trevlig doft. Tydlig fruktig och humlig i en grym balans. Mycket gräs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Delicious aroma of fruity hops. Crispy and slightly sharp taste of american hops. Some citra and grape. Has a note of malt at first, but the hops take over very fast. Very bitter aftertaste. Good beer.

Tap @ sbwf14. Hazy golden color, thin white head. Tropical fruity nose, pineapples, citrus. Flavor has wood, blood orange, hops, strong herbalness. Lacks the smoothness I have grown to like. Very bitter.

[email protected] Yellow hazy. Fruity caramels, tropicals, grapefruit, all sort of nice soft mellow though. Bitter hoppy. Some green hops, butterscotch caramels. Finishes a bit hard and hot.
