On a stop over in Baltimore we were hosted by an overwhelmingly hospitable man – Brian Strumke aka Stillwater. Getting hammered drinking his potions - made out of rice and corn - it was with a sense of inspiration that we drove of early in the morning to catch out flight back to Sweden. Nathalius is an imperial IPA brewed with rice and corn. However, fair and alluring as though she might seem this miss will whip you into submission.

Pyrmir (6210) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JUN 15, 2013
330 ml bottle shared with a few friends. Cloudy amber color, off-white head. Aroma is very hoppy with herbal, petrol and grapefruity notes. Taste is VERY bitter, herbal, grapefruit, bitter and very dry. Not even close to balanced, fairly thin body.

Draught at The Rover, Gothenburg. Cloudy apricot color with a small white head. Hoppy grassy aroma, creamy, herbal, wheat, some bread. Hoppy floral flavor, mint, hay, caramel, earthy notes. A bit strange.

Draft at Bar Kino, Göteborg. Shared with Gnoff, and both of us were unable to finish the gallop we got.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2013 What the hell is this? Close to undrinkable.. To bitter, to unbalanced and smells petrol. Couldn’t finish the glass.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2013 Draught at Bar Kino, Göteborg, on June 7, 2013.
Cloudy apricot color, off-white head. Hoppy, sweet, herbal scent. Herbal, bitter, dry taste. Fizzy mouthfeel, high bitterness. Herbal, dry, bitter aftertaste.
Even with a fairly small glass shared on two people this beer was too rough and unbalanced to be finished, so left a bit of it. Smells nice, OK for sampling as well, but I would not want to be really drinking this one.

VsXsV (4550) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 10, 2013
Draught. Hazy light amber liquid with small to medium white head. Aroma of citrus, biscuit, tangerine, toffee, pine and light alcohol. Taste is dry and high bitter with notes of mango, pine and light alcohol. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Quite nice but not as pungent aroma as I expected.

Ktwse (5472) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 8, 2013
Pours hazy yellow amber with low white head. Aroma of tropical fruit - lots of it - and some citrus. Very floral. Taste is very mild at first before a big hoppy bitter finish. Pungent, rich. Body is surprisingly light, somewhat oily and sticky with low carbonation. An almost astringent, medicinal aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at På Besök, Malmö
Cloudy blond color with creamy head. Strong aroma, hop, very sweaty, strong manure. Good toffee flavor, round body, medium residual sweetness; the bitterness is extreme and resiny; harsh but in a positive way.

Svesse (8803) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 6, 2013
(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 4 July 2013) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of peaches, cereal, grapefruit and resin. Fruity, malty taste with cereal, grapefruit, resin, hay and a solid resinous, citric bitterness with underlying hints of metal. Malt character is a bit hollow. More than medium body, quite dry. Hmm ... really love the hop character, but there’s not enough malt to back it up. Interesting experiment, and quite nice.

ekstedt (6977) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 5, 2013
Draught at Ölrepubliken, Göteborg, Sweden. CLear golden, medium white head. Intense floral, piney and perfumy hop aroma. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. High, a bit hard, bitterness.
