COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On a stop over in Baltimore we were hosted by an overwhelmingly hospitable man – Brian Strumke aka Stillwater. Getting hammered drinking his potions - made out of rice and corn - it was with a sense of inspiration that we drove of early in the morning to catch out flight back to Sweden. Nathalius is an imperial IPA brewed with rice and corn. However, fair and alluring as though she might seem this miss will whip you into submission.

mmargarucci (343) - Basel, SWITZERLAND - FEB 14, 2015
Bottle at erzbierschof bern. Pours with little foam light and transparent. Lots of hay gras aroma. Beautiful Galaxy hop. Taste is a bit empty until the hop aftertaste. Lacking a real malt backbone. A nice example of pure Galaxy hop aroma and taste. But lacking much else...

Aroma: citrus fruits, lemons, light exotic flavours, some pine. Appearance: hazy gold, medium, frothy, white head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: tropical fruits coming out, grapefruit, quite a bitter finish. Overall: slightly disappointing IIPA, lacks complexity and intensity. Bottle at CASK Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 330ml bottle served in a London Pride pint glass. A: Pours a very cloudy dark yellow to orange color forming a big creamy and soapy white head. Good retention and lots of soapy lacings formed and left in the glass S: Very hoppy in the nose. American hops. Fruity, citric and pinny. Strong notes of pale malts too: Reminds me Maris Otter but I suppose that this is a combo of pale and lighter crystal malts. Notes of tropical fruits, mainly mangoes. Very flowery... Yeasts have a quite earthy profile T: Follows the nose. Strong notes of hops and pale malts. Again, reminds a combo of pale malts and Maris Otter malts. Interestingly, it seems to be brewed with corn and rice. I suppose that corn and rice might be a good combination, sometimes. Upfront is dry, citrus and pinny followed by an intense and stingy bitterness. American profile hops. I would dare Chinook and maybe Simcoe... Really bitter and earthy in the end. Quite pleasant to an IPA lover like me M: Light to medium body. Good carbonation. Earthy and pinny aftertaste O: Good drinkability. Quite intense American IPA made in Scandinavia. Good stuff... :) [ BA Review @ 12/23/2013 ]

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2015 Golden, smell of citrus and strong bitterness. Body is superlight, but sadly the hoppiness turns mostly to a soapy bitterness. I think this body could work, but it would be better on a normal IPA and only late hops. Way too bitter, and not fruity.
