Neb is a home brew recipe that has been scaled up with no consideration to economies of scale. Some say idiotic, and as an economist I would have to agree. Get fresh or die trying.

Bottle at The Bottle Lab, Leek. Pours a clear deep golden colour with medium white head. Aroma of candied sugar, passionfruit, peach, some grapefruit, slight pine and subtle caramel. Taste of grapefruit, passionfruit, peach, orange, resin, some candied sugar, a hint of caramel and subtle grassy hops. Medium to full bodied and an oily texture. A long, dry, grassy, citrus hop bitterness in the finish. Started off quite sweet, with candied sugar/seaside rock aroma and fruit and grassy taste. The bitterness grew throughout and ended with an explosion of hops. Expected more myself but as an IIPA, superb. Ticked all the boxes.

AgentAle (1662) - Alberta, CANADA - APR 19, 2017
Aroma is a deep earthiness, fresh citrus, clove and rye spices. There is a faint malt profile of caramel and honey but most of this experience is intense hops. The high abv and ibus really leave a pucking and burning aftertaste. Good beer but definitely in small quantities. Appearance is a clear orange with a medium pearl head that retains surprising well.

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy deep golden color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of pungent passion fruit and pine, peach, dried fruit and caramel. Taste starts with medium sweet biscuit malt and resinous, following is fruity and grassy, mouthfeel is warming and spicy, while finish is heavy bitter. Full body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Certainly must try beer...

8.5%ABV. Imperial IPA. Poured out gold. 8SRM. Nose was interesting. It was waxy with plasticine out of bottle, then a chemical pine with urinal puck and car air freshener pine. Ester sweetnes. Waiting a little longer, and then its all pine and malt with a slight funk of pee. Citrus finally comes through after sitting a while. For this tasting it really started to smell a lot fresher after coming closer to room temperature. Mouthfeel is soapy. Malt palate honey, graham cracker, pie crusts. Hops are crazy on this one. So a lot of flavor and not a lot of aroma. So beta forward with oily, resinous flavors hogging the limelight from beginning to end: pine sap, resin, oleander sap, light hint of citrus oil and some light spice with scallion or onion. Finish is medium long and fades from resin to bitter melon to fresh vine sap. Overall, a very hoppy ride, but not in the way it usually is done in contemporary brewing. No aroma hops and almost all beta all the way with bitter oily, sappy hop flavors. Beta ride!!!! Goes on Favorites List!
