Bodney Towers bottleshare. Thanks to Mr Tips. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry and with decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, dry and with sweetish dark chocolate. Hazlenut. Sweeter dark malts and some spice. Rising bitterness. Light dry finish. A bit too bitter to really nail the concept. A minor disappointment.

Bottle shared in Hackney - big thanks to Tipple. Pours deep brown with a small, creamy tan head. Crazy snout, plenty of gooey chocolate, burnt nuts, moderate roast. Medium to big sweet flavour, lots of brownies, marshmallows, vanilla. Medium to full bodied, fairly chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more rich and chewy chocolate, some icing, brownies. Pretty fun stuff, in a silly kind of way.

Bottle at home, 18/11/17. Pitch black with a decent tan covering. Nose is Nutella melt, chocolate praline, toffee melt, light spice, chopped nuts. Taste comprises sweet chocolate, light black peppery spice which adds balance, hazelnut, mellow roast, light coffee grinds, molasses, dark chocolate. Full bodied, light oily feel, warming alcohol in the close. Took this down myself ... great balance ... never too sweet ... top draw impy stoot!

Tap at SBWF. Opaque colour, not much head. Strong hazelnut, vanilla, chocolate aroma. Full-bodied. Lots of hazelnut, vanilla and chocolate in the flavour too. A bit boozy. Not so complex than BA version.
