Black colour with beige foam. Lots of chocolate, coffee and pecan in both taste and aroma. A bit like drinking Nutella!

Drank 23-4-17 after visiting Riks parents. Really interesting beer. Awesome vanilla smell. Taste continues this and is really full in the beginning and a bit fading in the end.

Keg at The Bottle Shop, Bermondsey, London in Apr 2017 - Opaque Black in colour. Good foamy beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of nuts and roasty malts. Very Malty, roasty malts, dark chocolate, nuts, more nuts, caramel, toffee. Slight balancing hop bitterness. Quite spicy. Alcohol not noticeable. Smooth and rich. Dry mouthfeel (due to the nuts). Sweet roast chocolate and nutty malty throughout. Dry roast nutty finish. Great depth of flavour. Delightful beer. Enjoyed this. Terrific Chocolate Nutty Impy Stout. (2017-04)

Was quite disappointed in this one. I knew the Nebuchadnezzar by Omnipollo which is not original but perfectly executed. The title on this one got me really excited, but to be truthful I expected something a bit more subtle. The nose is quite sickening, a very strong scent of chemical Vanilla and cake. It is then very sweet with the same kind of aromas in mouth. The Imperial Stout part of it is totally masked by all that, could be any kind of beer, wont make a difference. Still some interesting stuff in there, but would definitely be unable to drink a whole 33cl bottle of it.

Bottle batch 2. Pours pitch black, minimal head. Absolute cake in aroma. Chocolate, cream, nuts, pecan, waffles, vanilla, no coffee, not roasty. Semi bitter, sweet. Medium body, thick, no alcohol. Aromas are very balnced but obvious.

Keg at The Bottle Shop, Bermonsdey, London, UK. It pours black, with a small, not lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, candy, caramel, chocolate, licorice, toffee, cake, roasted malts. Taste is similar, with most toffee, caramel and sweet flavour of cake. Medium to heavy sweetness. Full bodied, creamy texture, fine carbonation. Finish is long, malty, sweet.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 34C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown). AROMA: medium-high chocolate cake aroma, hazelnut and slight vanilla. APPEARANCE: pitch black and opaque. medium moussy brown head with medium-low retention. leg formation. TASTE: medium-high roasted-sweet flavor with notes of chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla and a slight vinous note. balanced medium bitterness. finishes dry, roasted and sligtly bitter. PALATE: full body with a luscious velvety texture. medium carbonation. OVERALL: a unique beer with a lot of interesting notes. it would benefit if the underlying imperial stout could shine a bit more.
