This is Omnipollo’s Milkshake IPA with Strawberry. It’s brewed in collaboration with Tired Hands! It comes in at 7% ABV and it pours a hazy orange body with a red-ish tint. A decent amount of sediment at the bottom there! The aroma is mild but concentrated strawberry with a hint of vanilla but not much. A slight hoppiness too. The taste is sweet strawberry with a subtle hint of vanilla once again. Some fruity hops towards the end. It is less milkshakey than I expected — especially after having some other flavored Omnipollo offerings which are really close to the real deal! The mouthfeel in this beer however, is fantastic! A super lacto mouthfeel. Really damn smooth! A shame that the strawberry and vanilla is so subdued. But it’s a refreshing and decent beer nontheless!

Bottle @ Mike’s House. Cloudy golden beer with a white head. Get mostly a citrus aroma of lime, orange, and lemon juices and zests. Get a nice tartness of unripe berry and some tropical fruits. Definitely a touch on the sweet side on the tongue and I get a little bit of a raw dough/flour flavor to it, which I could do without. There are some nice fruity qualities here, but I could do without some of the other (sweetening) adjuncts.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, opaque, yellow-ish golden colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity and herbal aroma, ’Milkshake’ is definitely a match, hints of strawberry and vanilla ice, the Mosaic is noticeable with hints of passion fruit and blueberry. Taste is dry, tart-ish, fruity and herbal hoppy, notes of unripe strawberry, a touch of vanilla, hints of passion fruit and blueberry.

Bottle. Unclear orange with a medum sized diminishing white head. Odd nose of hay, sugar and starch. Flavour offers the same: Hay, lemon, light berries, dust. Fine carbonation, medium sweet, mild acidity. Hoppy finish with pleasant bitterness and light strawberry.

Tap at Gollem. Pours unclear yellow. Small white head. Smell is mild fruity, but i don’t recognize strawberry to be honest. Taste is Sharp, dry, strawberry ( now more recognizable ) bit sweet.

On tap at Cirkus, Stavanger. Pours hazy/murky straw with a small white head. Aroma of lemon infused malts. Creamy thick mouthfeel, airy malts, weak acidic fruits, light dry finish, strange ipa, still easy drinkable.

From bottle. Pours a hazy yellowish with a soapy, white head. Aroma has sellery?? Mosaic hops, grape fruit, passion fruit, lactose, slight vanilla. Super fruity aroma! Taste has a light fruity+lactose sweetness and some citric notes as well, bitter finish. Average carbonation and a smooth body.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 11/2/2016. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, strawberry, lemon/orange peel, pine, wheat, cracker, light honey, light vanilla/cream, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/pine hops, strawberry/vanilla, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, strawberry, lemon/orange peel, pine, wheat, cracker, light honey, light vanilla/cream, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness and light fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, strawberry, lemon/orange rind, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops, strawberry/vanilla, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness, that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, sticky/resinous, and lightly creamy/grainy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent fruited IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops, strawberry/vanilla, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
