Sampled on draught at the Karben4 brewpub in Madison, Wisconsin during Madison Craft Beer Week 2013. Pours a semi-clear copper brown colored brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing and a thin ring. Aroma of floral hops, a hint of Belgian yeast, candi sugar and some mild spice. Taste is full bodied, some potpourri spice, toffee, candy sugar, caramel malt and light Belgian yeast. Finish has a short spicy hop bitterness followed by caramel, candi sugar and some alcohol presence. An American-style hoppy barley wine with Belgian strong ale profile. esjaygee (3906) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 4, 2013
On tap at One Barrel Brewery as 1B-K4. Clear copper with a thin off-white crown. Aroma is matly with toffee, toasted malt and light fruits and alcohol. Taste of toffee, roasted malts and very mild hops and light alcohol. Kind of like a scotch ale IMO. ChiGuy68 (615) - Illinois, USA - JUL 6, 2013
Tasted on tap at One Barrel in Madison WI. This effort is a collaboration. Clear redish brown with an off white head. Slight floral aromas. You must be a eye fan to enjoy this Imperial Red Rye.

Had it on tap at One Barrel Brewing Company in Madison Wi, a nano-brewery.poured a clear amber hue with a light head and a light sweet aroma. Smooth hop taste upfront with a wicked Bradley tasting backside. akoeninger (774) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 12, 2013
Clear brownish, red ale. Aroma of caramel, roasted butter and earthy hops. Taste is all sorts of malty goodness. Toasty, roasty, sweet rum and caramel. Nice alcohol warming at the end. Very drinkable if actually is like a sessionable barleywine.
