Now Banjo Cat. A pretty respectable Black IPA. One of the more centered and drinkable offerings I’ve had from OneBB. Brown black body. Thick steady beige head. Luscious roast chocolate tones. Respectable hop balance. Right on. AWISLguy (3375) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 23, 2016
On tap at the Old Fashioned in Madison. Black pour with little head. Sweet malts, some black malts, some pine, some licorice. Nose is better than the flavor which leaned too strongly to the sweet malt side. Decent, but weak for style. 13.4 arkurzynski (2461) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 13, 2016
Brown black. Nose of sweet pine and thick brown sugar. Nice mix of sweet pine, toasted malt, and some brown sugar with lingering astringent, dry pine and grapefruit. Really good. bratschepeter (62) - Abilene, Texas, USA - DEC 25, 2015
On tap at the brewery/32oz growler to go. Pours an opaque brownish-black with a pleasant off-white head that leaves a fair amount of sticky lacing. Nose is dank hops with a slightly sweet undertone; taste is bitter roasted malt balanced nicely with spicy and woody hop characteristics. Aftertaste of roasted malt fades quickly; clean and just vaguely creamy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable and consistent with the style. RobertDale (6911) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - OCT 26, 2015
On tap at the brewpub. Comes almost black with a decent beige head. Aroma of malt, coffee, and pine. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, pine, and citrus. Nice.

4 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Madison, Wisconsin. Consumed on 10-2-15. Pours dark brown with beige head and good, full lacing. Weak aroma. Chocolate scent. Roasted flavor. A bit of Band-Aid in the taste, unfortunately. Some dryness in the taste. More stout than black IPA, but the dry hoppiness does kick in eventually in the finish. Smooth in the palate. Medium body. Good palate effects. nimbleprop (8811) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 24, 2015
On tap at Cooper’s Tavern in Madison, pours a murky black with some bright white head. Nose has burnt toast, some light coffee notes, pine resin, soap, herbs, dried citrus peel. Flavor balances roast and citrus well, toast, bread, orange, pine, soap. Full bodied, dry and bitter finish. Really solid and what you expect of the style. Draft at the source. Pretty much black, thick beige head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of cocoa and coffee. Taste has toasted brownies and pine. Decent. deyholla (12439) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 4, 2015
Sampled from the tap at Vintage. Pours near black with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of roasted malts and dark grains with a hint of pine underlying. Flavor has creamy dark grains with light roasted malts balanced by pine and a bit of grass. BVery (11390) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAR 23, 2015
Tap at the brewpub. Dark opaque pour with a dense light beige head. Onion hop aroma and flavor. Some roasted malt in here. Nice.
