Tap at the brewpub. Dark opaque pour with a sticky head. Roasted malt and mild coffee aroma. Palate is moderate at best - maybe a touch thin for the style but not bad. Good. madvike (3292) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 9, 2014
On tap at the brewpub - Pours brown with a tan head. Nose is light coffee and roast. Milky with a bit of ash. Taste is the same--real milky, oaty, ashy, and with vanilla and a touch of coffee. Smooth, medium-bodied, and well-carbonated. Could drink this in quantity...yum. drpimento (3734) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 23, 2013
Poured at a good temperature with a nice, light tan, thick, creamy head that settles slow and lots of thick lace. Color is an opaque brown black. Aroma is super mild with some roast malt. Flavor’s way stronger, though has the bold (tho not overdone), slight sweet, just enough tang, cocoa. Very tasty. Body/carbonation are perfect, esp. for style. Finish has no off flavors and slowly tapers, and is super drinkable. pablo951 (683) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 6, 2013
Had it on tap at One Barrel Brewing Company in Madison Wi, a nano-brewery. Poured a murky black hue with a strong coffee aroma. The taste was hop and coffee, slightly watery. ChiGuy68 (609) - Illinois, USA - JUL 6, 2013

Dark mahogany. Small lasting beige head. Very roasty. Full flavored coffee. Nice flavor but very thin body, sort of one dimensional.. nuplastikk (6414) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Tap at One Barrel. Unfiltered red hued brown-black. Steady, creamy beige head. Coffee- brown chocolate aroma. Very creamy, malt centered, not much hop character. A pretty good, enjoyable coffee beer. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 10, 2013
On tap at One Barrel. Dark brown with a thin brown head and ruby lowlights. Aroma of roasted malt, light coffee and a smoky/peaty mix. Taste of roasted malt, light chocolate, oatmeal and mild smoke. On the thinner side but okay. Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 27, 2013
A dark brown stout with no head. In aroma, sweet coffee chocolate with light licorice, OK. In mouth, a smooth sweetish caramel malt with, again, the watery body, but decent. On tap at brewpub, Jan 20 2012. cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - OCT 25, 2012
On tap at One Barrel, pours black with a tan head, nice toasty aroma with a hint of coffee, the flavor has a slight chocolate front end with a finish of ground coffee, the flavor is a little bitter in the finish though, still pretty solid.
