On tap at One Barrel - Pours brown with a thin tan head. Nose is malty bread, but slightly milky soured. Not getting tons of chai spice, but there’s some baking spice in there. The sourness obscures things. Taste is roughly the same, with the milky sourness taking over and pushing the bready malt and spicing out. Thinnish and well-carbonated. Hmm...I think there was something wrong with this beer. cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - OCT 29, 2013
On tap at One Barrel, pours a hazy dark brown amber with an off white head, the aroma had a ton of spice, too much IMO, almost like potpourri, the flavor is of straight spice on the front end with a little bit of sweetness in the finish with a little bit of caramel and malt, but the spice completely overtakes it, ugh. A reddish brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet malt with light ginger notes. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with ginger, cardamom, OK, a bit watery. On tap at brewpub, Jan 20 2012.
