3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy pour with citrus on the nose and in the flavor. Less malt then in the imperial, but still more than I would have liked. I think it took away from the citrus fruits that start to come through. Hops are there but taken out by the malt. The review sounds harder on the brew than what I actually thought. I still thought this was a solid brew.
Draft pours amber with a white head. Aroma of bread, pine and some caramel. Taste is resin and caramel. MaltOne (380) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 20, 2017
Pours pale, clear copper; frothy head. Aroma is pine resin with a slightly sweet bready note. Pine resin is the dominant flavor with a touch of tropical fruit, a little pepper, and some yeasty bread in the background. Palate is clean, with a lght to medium body. Overall, a straightforward, very drinkable APA. ThirstyBird (2991) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2017
From a bottle, pours a clear deep gold color with a loose off-white head. The smell is toasted malt, mild caramel and a touch of fruit. The taste is toasted malt, caramel some fruitiness with a dry and crisp ending. Light+ in body with average carbonation. It tasted like the bottle might have been a little old but without any bottle dating it’s hard to know. Scipio (1188) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - JAN 26, 2017
Pours golden with a thin white head. The aroma is evenly balanced and has cereal, caramel, lemon, banana, and grassy hops. The main impressions in the taste are cereal and a bubblegum flavor. There are some herbal and grassy hops, bread, and caramel as well. This has a slight bitterness to it. Aftertaste is a short cereal flavor. This one is medium, slick in texture, and has some lively carbonation. Its pretty good overall. Drake (14063) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 16, 2016
Keg at Whole Foods Wauwatosa, 9/22/16. Clear copper, large frothy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, pine, toasted malts. The taste is toasted malt, grapefruit, pine, mild caramel. Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness.

Well balanced orange pale ale with an aeoma of cereal malt and floral, sweet citrus. sweet citrus hops and light cereal malts in flavor. A very solid pale ale. muzzlehatch (4969) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 28, 2016
12 ounce bottle from Badger Spirits in Beloit, WI, served quite cold in a Flying Fish pint glass. Pours a moderate white medium-bubbled head that decays almost completely, leaving fine lace above the clear orange body...nose is heavily citric (tangerine, lemon), lightly resinous, touches of vanilla and honey, quite pleasant...body is lightly to moderately sweet, fairly acidic and juicy, drying out somewhat towards the lightly bitter finish, some vague mineralic hints and a touch of paper...average-to-light body, somewhat fizzy carbonation, pretty reasonable for style, very quaffable. A solid rendition overall, not a competitor with the dozens of excellent pale ales available but not one to ignore either, especially if other options aren’t there. Sweet citrus fruits, tangerine, orange, light bread and caramel malts. Clear that, small, creamy, white head. Light sweet. More grain and bread malts, caramel, sweet citrus fruits, soft carbonation. Nice APA, good balance between hops and malts. Keg at The Old Fashioned, Madison, WI. AWISLguy (3288) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 28, 2016
