Cask at the brewpub. Hazy orange yellow, white head. Apple hop aroma. Malty hoppy flavors. Fresh hops. Hoppy malty finish. Sweet malts come through nicely. dnstone (3418) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - NOV 3, 2010
Moderate hop-grain balanced aroma. Pale copper-amber with a hint of white head. Full mouth grain flavor with excellent hop balance. Just a good, well balanced beer. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2009
Cask Conditioned Gravity Dispense GBBF 09. A light amber to ginger coloured beer with a ring of off-white bubbles. The aroma is piney with a hint of sweet malt just as you’d expect from an APA. Nice clean hoppy flavours in the mouth. Pine and spruce and a bit of prickle.

Cask (gravity) at GBBF 2009, Day 1. Listed simply as Opa Opa Pale Ale but the ABV is the same as this one so I guess this is the right one. Dry-hopped with Centennial. Amber colour. Lovely pungent floral hops on the nose, no doubt accentuated by the dry-hopping. It does fall off a little on the palate as Silk suggests but my scoring starts from a higher baseline so I still found it very tasty, with plenty of aromatic hop character backed up with just enough pale malt to provide necessary balance. A particularly appealing and enjoyable beer. I particularly enjoyed Silk’s suggestion that Sim might want to use this as perfume.

From growler: A nice clean, solid pale ale for those of you who enjoy a snappy malt tingle here and there. this pale ale can conquer and destroy all those imitators. bbbeer (819) - Massachusetts, USA - DEC 20, 2011
Clear light yellow-orange with small white head. Aroma fresh grassy hops. Medium-light body crisp and refreshing. Flavor is mostly malty, dry, non-specific hoppy finish. Not complex at all but well made, balanced, drinkable, and pleasant. User37895 (3042) - - JUN 2, 2006
A nice pale ale, this beer poured the standard golden color, but with a normal head that laced well throghout. The aroma was hoppy, perhaps some pine. The flavor was floral hoppy with a touch of pine, that finished off a light citrus-grapefruit type malty base. A fairly nice and balanced beer. This american ale pours copper in color with a small head. The malt shows on both the nose and the mouthfeel. It also gives a decent finish which shows the bitterness of the hops. TBone (17581) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 6, 2009
Clear amber color, not much head. Caramelly, some resiny hops in the nose. Pale malty, piney hoppy flavor. Quite balanced malt and hop profile. Enjoyable APA.
