Draft at brewpub. Pours golden with a thin white head. Not a lot on the nose. Lots of spruce on the tongue. Not a ton of carbonation. I’m not quite sure how strong this is. Solid enough! bbbeer (811) - Massachusetts, USA - MAR 24, 2013
Pale golden, bubbly. Aroma spice, citrus, malt. Medium body. Despite the description was quite carbonated. Flavor off-dry, some spice and lemon and a bit of hops. Ok. luttonm (6156) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 7, 2010
Draft in MA. Tart scotch ale, big flavor. Spritely malting. Rich with alcohol straight up. A bit fruity-sour on finish. mcox90 (2072) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 17, 2010
Growler purchased at Mass Liquors in Worcester Ma. Pours a mostly clear caramel color with a one finger off white head. No lace. Aroma is light cinnamon spice, ginger and malt. Middle of the road palate with low level carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink. Flavor is typical of other winter warmers, various spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, etc. Not to heavy though which is good. Just a hint of spice to go with a malt background. Pretty good.

Impressive Winter Warmer -- announced as a Winter Lager at the Brewpub, but ale is what I tasted when I sampled, to my highly attuned and educated tongue. Beautiful hazed copper appearance and strong malt nose gave this beer a bit of a separation from other microbrews. It poured flat, no problem, but tasted a bit flat too, almost puddled on the palate, but otherwise a very tasty beer from a brewery that specializes, so it seems, on making the ordinary -- not in this case. Well done. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

Growler sampled on 1/4/07: Pours a hazy dark caramel with a decent-sized off-white head. Has a sweet cinnamon and nutmeg gingersnap spiced dark caramel malty aroma. Palate starts rich and malty sweet with a very nice winter spice balance of cinnamon, honey and ginger. An enjoyable winter brew. shp555 (2024) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 16, 2007

Growler: The beer poured a very hazy copper color with a small off-white head. The was fruity with notes of peaches and browned apple flesh. Hint of wood showed in the back. The flavor was fruity as well. Some more apple flavors. The finsih was semi-dry with a light to medium body. Light spice on the finish with a nice warming sensation.
