heavy (2904) - Split, CROATIA - NOV 14, 2017
Dec. ’16. A 0.5 l bottle at Birra+, Rome. I believe this is the correct beer, the attached label fell off but the bottle looks and the rest sums up well. Fruity sour aroma, dark berries, dried fruit, plum jam, sour cider apple, some sweeter caramel and toffee. Flavor was sour but also quite sweet, if we took out the sweetness it would have tasted lemony like a Berliner Weisse. Sticky jam and caramel notes made it a bit fuller in body although still relatively thin. Notes of yeast and tart port wine. A bit messy but pleasant. Very high carbonation with longer sweetish finish. Alcohol is drowned with the sweetness and port-sherry tartness at It poured a hazy dark reddish brown body with a small brown head. Quite interesting, a bit too sweet for my taste and lightly messy but a decent beer anyway.

from Birreria [email protected] Adriatica - light hazy ruby-brown beer without foam; cheesy with notes of Portwine and marzipan, apples and plums; gently woody, pretty sweet, full-bodied and gently sour; light residual swetness, light woody and plumy finish

500ml bottle, lotto 12/10, bought at Johnny’s Off-License (Via Veio) more than two years ago. Shared with Finn and djoeye. Pours an opaque dark-red body. Tiny bubbly surface. Wood, forest and caramel on the nose. Ripe dark fruity taste mingled with bittersweet berries, nuts and caramel. Sweet and dry to the ending, not sour at all. In fact, it gets rather sweet in the long run. Well bodied. Nice, a bit disappointing though (at Finns in Tromsø, 05.08.2014).

Flaske 500ml spandert av Rune. Delt med ham og djoeye på Nerstranda 5 Aug 14. Ultramørk amber. Lavt filmskum. Aroma av rips. Smaken også. Et visst sherrypreg. Blir veldig søt.

djoeye (5207) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 5, 2014
Low white surface on the red brown hazy body. The whole forest of berries to the nose, wet and dry, sourish-fruity mostly fruity, and including redcurrants from the neighbours to the forest. Tiny gumboot out of the spout. Taste; candiced currants wrapped in solidified yogurt, lots of sour berries. Oily butterish on palate. Berry-fruity lingering finish. Fruit-beer-liquor? Tasty anyway. [50cl. gr.spec. btl. 9%abv. °. BBfall2014. [email protected], incl Rune who brought it]

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Reddish-amber with a tan head. The aroma has some nice tart cherry notes as well as a bit of sweetness from the caramel and toffee malts. The flavor is lightly sour. I get some tart cherries and once again some toffee and caramel. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
