COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Draught @ Birra +. Aroma has sweet sugary tones and plums. Flavour is sweet with funky yeasty tones, ripe fruits and licorice. Drinkability is great. Reminds me of some Gouden Carolus beers.

Marduk (8517) - Reval, ESTONIA - JUN 21, 2017
330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Slightly hazy brown color. Tiny size, beige head, stays. Husky, grainy, bit sourish and yeasty in aroma. Sweet, roast, marshmallows, caramel, toffee and honey in taste. Honey and very sweet in aftertaste. Covers alcohol well. But it is sweet. Too sweet for me. Solid brew.

Keg at La Cantinetta, Rimini. It pours a dark copper / mahogany color with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, dark fruits, raisins and orange peel. Taste has more sweetness, with light booze, notes of raisins, vanilla, dark fruits, rum and orange peel. Medium to full bodied with soft to ok carbonation. Overall, tasty treat

(Rating #5830)

KnutAlbert (6797) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 31, 2010
Bottle from Domus Birrae, Rome.
Dark brown, creamy head.
Balsamic vinegar and fruit in the nose.
Warming alcohol, prunes, tobacco and sugar.
For a moment it feels too sweet, but then there is a wonderful dry sourness that carries all the way to the end. A lovely little beer!

Dark, almost black with small light brown ring of foam. Aroma is licorice, coffee and chocolate all mixed. Taste is bitter, cold coffee with some carbonation. Nice bitter aftertaste, coffee again. (Catania 201212) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
