hawthorne00 (3900) - Melbourne, - OCT 5, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2012 Bottle with a label that made me feel underdressed, 11C. Pale amber with a large dense cream head. Vibrant aroma of apricot, peach, dough, spices, flowers, lime leaves. Bittersweet with firm bitterness kicking in straight away. Fruity, dough, slight tartness. Dryish bitter finish with lingering spices and citrus peel. More saison than IPA IMHO (certainly moreso than the Nøgne Ø / Bridge Road India Saison). Anyway, a really joyous beer. [4.0]

Growler. Oh, where’d it go? Heavier on the palate, sweetness and bitterness much more prominent. Nimbler in the bottle with spices and tartness playing a much bigger role. Much more IPA-like - and still pretty good, but more like 3.6. Leaving rating as per bottle.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Lior D’s place. Thanks Lior D. Cloudy blond with a white head. A little yeasty, estheric. Sweet, yeasty, fruity taste. Sweet, full body, peachy finish, medium fizz.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2017 330ml bottle (Sip, Tallinn) (6:4:6-:3:13-=3.2--)
Very sweet fruity aroma, is there coconut? Looks good, paleish orange, persistent tight head. Full palate, smooth, pleasant carbonation, but some harsh rough aspects. Sweet malty taste, some yeastiness and dirtiness. No alcohol detected. Finish is pleasantly bitter, quite biting, but spoilt by the dirtiness. Feels like an overrate, I think taste and overall can be dropped.

330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Misty amber color. Medium size, off-white head, stays. Citrus, tropical fruits, pineapple, yeasty, hay in aroma. Sweet, hay, apricot, fruity, juicy? in taste. Apricots, sweet, hay and yeasty in aftertaste. Crisp carbonation. Kind of bready mouthfeel. Drinkable brew.

Light, opaque peach juice colour. No head. Aroma is apple and a little bit of paint thinner. Taste is lots of apple. Boozy taste.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2017 Bottle, BB 02.18 (from SIP). Pours golden with whiteish head. Aroma is fruits, citrus, berries, apricots, Belgian yeast. Flavor is sweet and bitter, peaches, apricots, malt, Belgian yeast. Finish is yeasty, dry and fruity. Overall: drinkable, feels more like drinkable Belgian ale than saison or IPA.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Lior D’s place. Thanks Lior D. Cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma of yeast, fruity esters, spicy phenols. Rather dry flavor, yeasty, fruity, citric, with a bit of spiciness, a bit of alcohol, and a bitter finish.

charmarita (66) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 14, 2016
Poured from bottle lightly hazy straw yellow with sizeable foamy cream head. Aroma of alcohol, ginger, and clove. Taste light salt and strong bitterness followed by sharp sourness. Flickering hints of sweetness but overpowered by its bitterness. Body light, thin feel, average carbonation, long astringent finish. Overall far too bitter for my style preference.

3.7
einherjar (335) - Rijeka, CROATIA - FEB 9, 2016
Hazy amber color. Aroma floral hops, fruits. Taste fruity, light sweet, moderate bitter. Sweet-bitter aftertaste. Very nice.
