Oppigårds Bergsman is a newly developed lager beer. We continue to use English malt even though it's a lager beer. On the other hand we have used almost exclusively Czechish hops. The fermentation has been done at a low temperature, around 10C, which adds to a clean malt flavour that is balanced by the chracateristic floweriness from the Saaz hops.

cloudy amber color; floral hop aroma; a fantastic, smooth, hoppy lager; very well balanced, crisp, refreshing, and as the name says, well-hopped

Sehr einfaches und klassiches Lager ohne große Bewegungen nach oben. Etwas Vanille, Reis, ein klein wenig Getreide und ein Schuss Hopfen. Ok, langweilig, trinkbar.

The beer has got a clear golden colour with a low head and medium body. Aroma of hops and straw. Taste of hops, sweet malt, bread, citrus fruits and oranges. Grainy hints. Refreshing, yet nothing special.

Oppigårds Well-Hopped Lager (Bergsmansöl) has a medium, fluffy white head, and a very hazy, orange appearance, which really clouds up, once the caked bottom sediment is swished and poured in. Lacing is minimal. The aroma is rather strong: pungent, semi-sweet and rich barley. Taste is of the same, with noticeable, yet not pronounced, hop bitterness (I’d never guess it is a 36 IBU). Mouthfeel is medium and prickly, and Oppigårds Well-Hopped Lager (Bergsmansöl) finishes a bit rough, rustic, and dirty. RJT

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Hazy bright gold with a thick, robust white head. Clean grains with dank, pungent pot-like skunky hops. Loved it!

Strangely has almost a banana aroma to it. Full bubbly head. This is nice. Plenty of hops in this, a tast dry finish. Good stuff.

Tap @ Bishops Arm Stockholm. Another random selection from their tap list. Cloudy, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Fairly citrusy, a bit herbal/earthy aroma. A touch metallic, earthy, herbal hoppy, tangerine citrusy, a bit tropical fruity flavor with an herbal, bitter finish. Ok, but I didn’t like the metallic note.

Bottle. Well-Hopped Lager. Amber beer with a cream head. Light malt and light earthy aroma. Pine and woodsy flavor with light caramel. Medium bodied. Woodsiness and caramel linger with pine and light grass.

Tap at Alewife. Pours clear orange with a medium, creamy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is spicy and earthy hops, biscuit and straw malt with a clean lager character. Flavor is medium hops and bitterness with supporting malt and a dry finish. Medium to light body, low warmth and medium carbonation.
