Bottled. Clear dark reddish brown, firm rocky head. Flowery nose. Plenty of caramel. The mouthfeel is very clean, and the body firm. Very dry and really hoppy. The finish is resiny and very bitter. cgarvieuk (24166) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 5, 2007
Thanks to Joris for hosting and world traveler Stefaan for the beer... deep ruby red ... bit of mouth fizz ...light sweet nuttynose ... rich toasted malt with slight burntness... lots of hoppy juicyness. rlgk (18847) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 8, 2008
Amber/mahogany color, offwhite head. Vert nice fruity and hoppy aroma, tropical fruits, grassy and with some floral notes. Hoppy grassy, metallic flavor, perfume notes, some fruit, but not as much as in the very balanced aroma. Grassy metallic finish. MiP (15650) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 12, 2008
Bottle, 5.3%. Weak hop and yeast aroma. Hazy chestnut colour. Small tan ead. The flavour is light, but OK. Citric hops with a little yeast. mjs (7156) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 9, 2009
UPDATED: APR 3, 2015 (Re-rate, keg at Ølhus København, Helsinki, 20150403) The beer was deep golden instead brown. Aroma and flavour both hinted of Belgian yeast. Overall the brew was very sweet.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2012 Bottle (50 cl). Appearance: 3/5
Clear amber liquid with a dirty white head that left chunks of foam on the side of the glass.
Fruity, caramel, malt, citrus, some oranges and a hint of metal.
Caramel, malt and some fruits.
Mild, fruity and fairly easy to drink,.
This beer worked well with the salty and fat Easter food last year and I got a feeling it will be just as good this year as well.
Re-rated during 2012: This version is allot better then previous versions. FrankJohansen (3622) - Sabro, DENMARK - SEP 4, 2009
Bottle. Clear reddish colour with a medium off white head. Rich aroma and taste of caramel and malts with floral notes. Good beer. Veer (362) - Landskrona, SWEDEN - NOV 7, 2009
Aroma: lovely, fresh hops. Good, sweetish malt to back the hops up. Sourish, yeast, spices (cinnamon, seville orange, nutmeg), cocoa, just lovely.
ricke (476) - Malme, SWEDEN - NOV 19, 2009
Flavour: ah, delicious, sweet, malty, cookiedough, reasonable bitterness lingering with liquorice throughout the aftertaste. Slight notes of nutmeg and orange. Coffee in the after-aftertaste aswell as sap and pine.
Appearance: orange brown with beige-tan head
Palate: fluffy, a bit slimy, not particularly heavy, refreshing
Serving date: 2009-03-25.
Dark amber with brown hues. Somewhat cloudy. Slightly beige and uneven but thick head. Small lacings.
An interesting but not that powerful smell. Sweet malts, caramel, some brown sugar. Pleasant fruity hops (orange, peach).
The taste is of toffee, nuts, oatmeal cookies, some herbs, orange peel, dried apricots and a general fruitiness that’s quite pleasant. Nice balance between the different flavors, though sweetness is slightly dominating. The finish has a gentle herbal bitterness to it, some grass, mild spices and a faint note of dry earth just at the end.
Medium body, quite high levels of carbonation. Still feels rather creamy, though.
It seems like there’s a well executed craftsmanship behind this beer. However, it’s really not that bold. A good and pleasant beer, but nothing extravagant.

This is the 2010 version.
Pours a cloudy brownish amber. Small frothy head that fades to nothing fast. Mild aroma of sweet malty citrus fruit. Higher carbonation. Malty sweet flavor with hops, citrus, bit of caramel. Medium body. Somewhat crisp. Hop bitter citrus finish. It is a good brew, but not one of Oppigards better efforts.
