Had this several times so it was a good occasion for a serious and critical analysis, hehe. From the bottle in Duvel glass. Rocky, creamy and a brownish colored head. Excellent appearance, nice patterns of lacing and of course pitch black body. If we would have stopped here we would have had a winner. I had it served at approximately 13 degrees Celsius and if you try it colder you lose a lot of flavor, well its always the same but I just wanted to point that one thing out again. The nose is heavy malty, light bread, roasted, nutty, mild coffee and dark chocolate. In the second wave you will and could find prune, plum and raisins. The third wave (yes, no misspelling here) there are light tones of liquorices and a distinct feel of stable additionally a light touch of soured milk and cream. Light sweetness initially and a moderate sweet and light bitter long finish. This is one of the best Swedish porters but far from Närkes offerings. Solid and nice but not really perfectly balanced. Cheers!
En god tyk lakridsagtig øl. Ikke så meget at sige, god lakrids, god bitterhed. DocJitsu (1972) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Dark, nearly opaque cola brown. Milk chocolate nose. Medium-bodied, wet and just the slightest bit of carbonation. Chocolate and raisin and a little coffee on the finish. Flavor doesn’t quite deliver what the nose presents. adamah (214) - California, USA - APR 20, 2013
Not a bad beer. Roasted malts, chocolate and maybe a hint of caramel hit you up front but for me the clean bitter finish makes the beer. The aroma was too tight though not much there and the body is very thin.
Nose is pretty tight. Kind of thin. This is one those cocacola beers. Big saving grace is finish.

Pours black color with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, cocoa and some fruits. Flavor of chocolate, malts, caramel and fruity notes. A bit thin-bodied, otherwise quite good.
50 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 29.08.2009jmgreenuk (9306) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JUL 19, 2012
Aroma has well roasted malt, coffee notes, licorice and hints of nuts. Flavour has rather nice level of roastiness with coffee, some licorice and hints of ash. Dry finish. Good stuff, too bad I got just one bottle.
Bottle at the Bishops Arms Malmo. One of the nicest beers ive tasted but more or less what I expected. Lovely inviting spicy aroma. A hint of chocolate and maybe a little coffee. Not a great head and just a little lacing. A very dark pour, just the way it should be. It was served just a little on the cool side which I feel suited this refreshing beer. Will try again and recommend to others.
