Beery Christmas #11 from Saveur Bière. The beer looks like a proper IPA. The color of the beer is a nice amber. The beer is perfectly clear. On top of the beer there is a nice layer of rough white foam, which collapses quickly into nearly nothing. The looks are not special, but just proper for an IPA.
The smell of the beer is delicious. It’s a very good IPA aroma, with something extra. There is a delicious, well balanced hop aroma, containing aroma’s of citrus fruits and zest, some grassy hop aroma’s, a herbal touch and some sweet malts. There is a toasty edge to the beer. There is also a nice resinous touch. The balance in the smell is very good. It’s a beautiful IPA, with a kick.
The taste of the beer is delicious. The beer is very gentle, but the taste is rich and balanced. There is a delicious hoppy bitternes and sour touch. Besides this there is a fruity and malty sweetness. Its delicious, contains all the tastes an IPA should have in good balance.
The palate of the beer is good. The beer has a nice amount of gas in it and has a long, bitter and slightly nutty finish. I like it. psilosophy (801) - vitry en artois, FRANCE - DEC 11, 2016
