Foffern (2109) - Bodø, NORWAY - FEB 19, 2017
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, white bread and some citrus and caramel. The flavor has lots of piney hops, grapefruit, peaches, herbs and grass. A litte dry in the end. Has a slick mouth feel, medium to full body and a heavy bitterness. A heavily hopped ale but is well-balanced.

Big frothy and foamy white head very long lasting and leaving a nice lace. Slightly hay, orangish amber. Aroma is citrus, caramel, lemon candy and tropical fruits. Taste is bitter, intense, citrus hoppy, malty and grapefruit with citrussy bitter finish. Full body. A thick beer. Creamy and oily palate. A great IIPA!!

EerieDrinks (380) - Malm, SWEDEN - DEC 31, 2016
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2017 Revisiting this beer and rewriting the review for it. 3 finger slightly off-white head. Clear, mid amber coloured beer.

Aroma is floral, mandarin, pine, lemon and apricot marmalade with a solid breadiness.

Taste is pungent apricot, orange, slight soil, alcohol drenched raisins and pine.

Mouthfeel is slightly oily and has a heavy feel, a lot due to the high malty sweetness. Medium-low bitterness, combined with very low carbonation which unfortunately makes this not carry much of a punch in terms of mouthfeel.

Overall: Classic DIPA with a West Coast style taste that's really pleasant but could use more punch as mentioned, combined with a little bit less of that sweetness.

A taste of citrus and herbs. Not much bitterness to it and only a slight taste of alcohol. It’s a very easy beer to drink, very smooth.

Pours quite clear dark gold with nice white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Caramel yeasty, malty and herbal aromas. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is some malty sweet, herbal, moderate bitter, with some dry finish.
