Beautiful colour and crown. Aroma of caramel and tropical fruit. Fresh taste of light bread and citrus, with hints of chocolate. A bit watery maybe. Grapefruit in the aftertaste. rampmaster (642) - Alden, New York, USA - JAN 22, 2010
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 1pt .9oz bottle into a mug. There appears to be no freshness date.
Appearance: Its head builds up tall and foamy. It is firm and rocky, light tan color and slow fading. A small thin cap hangs on till the very last sip. On the way down the glass it leaves some nice rings of lace. The body has a deep, very dark reddish amber/old copper color with some visible carbonation.
Smell: The aroma has a modest presence of spicy/herbal hops with a hint of holiday spices and something citrusy.
Taste/Palate: The flavor has a solid hop presence with citrus and spicy/leafy notes. The hops are supported by a mildly sweet and dark bready maltiness. Within it are also notes of brown sugar and a touch of cinnamon. In the finish hop flavor picks up and adds dryness and bit of bitterness. The body has a medium to full feel with a slick smooth texture and active tingly carbonation.
Notes: Overall this was a pleasant Winter Warmer.

500 ml bottle @ my parents place.December 25, 2013
Beer bought @ "Systembolaget Strømstad"
Beer enjoyed from a wineglass with Pinnekjøtt and Aquavit.
Amber in color with a thin beige head and medium carbonation.
Aroma is hop, citrus, grape fruit and a bit floral.
Tastes a bit hop and fruity with a slightly bitter finish.
The beer reminds me of a Pale Ale or IPA,but a weak one
All in all a ok low ABV beer. peral2 (578) - SWEDEN - DEC 2, 2012
Flaska från SB. Ingen typisk julöl utan mer som en traditionell Red Ale. God och uppfriskande men kanske inte så mycket mys i kyla.

Dark brown pour, thin head. Coniferous hoppy aroma. Same for flavor, some caramelly malts. Cold and satisfying, seductively hopped. Ljunkan (530) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - DEC 10, 2008
Pours a darkbrown color with a nice beige head. Some lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee, citrus, pine needle and apricot. Flavour is first of all hoppy. There is notes of grapefruit, pine needle, a bit of grass. Some caramel too. It ends with a good bitterness. Mouthfeel is maybe not that filling, the body is medium and with medium carbonation. A highly drinkable beer from Oppigårds. They truly make good beers, though they seem too stay at the same level all time. You will not get dissapointed, neither surprised. At least I havent... Äntligen en riktigt god jul. Bokstavligt talat.
UPDATED: DEC 8, 2011 Bottle at home. December, 2010.
Pours cloudy brown with beige head. Aromas of pine, bitter orange, grapefruit, sweet malt and spices. A good bitter taste of noble hops and caramel-like malt. Not really a Christmas beer but a nice ale for the winter year.
