(Bottled) Dark cola color with a very small, but quite lasting head. Interesting, spicy aroma with some sourness. Dryish and bitter, slightly acidic flavor with roasted malt and spices. Light to medium-bodied, sourish palate with quite low carbonation. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 16, 2005
Thanks a lot Santa Jonas - it is a treat every time we open one of your bottles you sent. Nice roasted malt nose. Opaque colored - nearly no head visible. Very intense licorice, nutts and moccha taste. Charcoal aftertaste - well., why not, it is a winter ale and winter is heating time ;-) blankboy (7735) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 28, 2007
Bottle (500ml) shared with and courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy deep orange-amber with an average size diminishing creamy tan head. Dry aroma of lightly roasted malt, toffee, a hint of chocolate, some nuts and herbal hops. Flavour: Dry, slightly roasty with toffee, some chocolate and a herbal bitter kick. Medium bodied. Pretty decent, I’d have it again. tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - DEC 7, 2007
Bottle. Pours nice dark amber with a reasonable cream-colored head. The aroma is mostly fruity malts with some spices thrown in to boot. The flavor is rather toasty, with some caramel and spice notes. Toffee in the finish, with some earth and grass. Ok, not great.

Bottle @ Cole’s Christmas Tasting 2007. Mahogany brown body with a small beige head. Odd aroma, light fruit notes and tangy malt character. (6+) Similar fruit and malt in the flavour, light caramel notes. Average palate. Not unpleasant but fairly unremarkable. jacobwennbom (357) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - MAR 9, 2008
Lots of cascade in the nose. Taste also hoppy with a citric theme along with acidic apples and hops. A bit thinner than I would have liked it to be. Strykzone (7486) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAY 11, 2008
Medium brown slightly cloudy body with a nice one finger active tan head. Musty malt and hop aroma with caramel and dark fruit. Quite nice. Flavor is bitter dry hop with the malt taking a secondary role. There is a bit of anise as well. KimJohansen (10510) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - SEP 19, 2008
