Ruby brown, clear, dense white head. The aroma is dominated by sweet, but roasted barley malt. The taste begins sweet and malty, but turns dry and bitter towards the finish. Although the body is relatively full vis-à-vis the ABV, the palate is surprisingly refreshing due to lively carbonation. Well-balanced winter beer!

500ml bottle. Warm nut brown with tan head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, orange, bread, brown sugar and caramel. Taste of pine, grapefruit and caramel.

Redish brown. No head, low carbonation and a tremendous, deep, lingering aroma. Lots of hops. The flavor has a lot of wood and bread. Exellent bitterness. The label promises "the beginning of a tradition"! Looking forward to that.

A dark brown appearance with a ruby tint. A small sized beige head is present. The aroma is quite nice with some chocolate, raisins, molasses, and caramel. The flavor is a bit sweet with some milk chocolate, plums, raisins, and licorice and a hint of nutmeg. This is a complex beer to say the least. And a good choice for #1500!

cloudy brown with a small beige head and good lacing. sweet, fruity aroma with lots of toasty malts, caramel and hops. flavor is loaded with nuts, caramel, and toast with a moderate amount of bitter hops for balance and a bitter finish. medium bodied.

Its head builds up tall and foamy. It is firm and rocky, light tan color and slow fading. A small thin cap hangs on till the very last sip. On the way down the glass it leaves some nice rings of lace. The body has a deep, very dark reddish amber/old copper color with some visible carbonation. The aroma has a modest presence of spicy/herbal hops with a hint of holiday spices and something citrusy. The flavor has a solid hop presence with citrus and spicy/leafy notes. The hops are supported by a mildly sweet and dark bready maltiness. Within it are also notes of brown sugar and a touch of cinnamon. In the finish hop flavor picks up and adds dryness and bit of bitterness. The body has a medium to full feel with a slick smooth texture and active tingly carbonation.

Äntligen en riktigt god jul. Bokstavligt talat.
