33cl bottle at home. Appearance: pitchblack with medium, dark beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, oatmeal, chocolate. Taste: high sweetness and fairly high bitterness. Notes of oatmeal, roasted malts, hops, cacao and chocolate. Finish is dry, bitter and roasty. Palate: medium bodied, oily texture and soft to flat carbonation. Okay.

650mL bottle, pours black with a large light brown head. Aroma brings out oats, roasted malt, and a touch of coffee. Flavour is robust, with lots of oats, medium roast, light hops, and dry coffee. Very oaty and hearty. Lovely stuff.

JDBaker11058 (2306) - Maryland, USA - AUG 19, 2017
appearance: smooth, rich very dark brown, creamy tan head, medium lacing. aroma: smells great--chocolate, coffee, general roast, some wood and vanilla, a bit of earth. taste: dark chocolate, dry roasted coffee beans, a bit of talc and wet stone. finish: dry, full palate, alcohol well-hidden. notes: This is a solid, solid beer. Smells awesome, taste is just a titch below that. Fulsome, rich palate, smooth. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.

DijkBier (482) - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2017
Bottle at home, pouring total black opaque with a firm brown head. The aroma is full and fatty, nearly breathtaking, pàààff! Lot of elements in the nose, including wood, licorice, dark malts, choco. Taste is very alcoholic and fullbodied; medium sweet and light to medium bitter, light coffee notes. OK carbonation, soft oily/velvety mouthfeel. This is great! Very rich and nice RIS.

Ratman197 (15105) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUL 13, 2017

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of chocolate, oat, light veggies, alcohol, coffee, milk. Flavour is quite sweet, coffee, milk chocolate, roasted malts, bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Decent RIS, but lacks a bit of depth imho.

SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - APR 15, 2017
Batch: 027028. BB: 05-2018.
