This beer was one of my first obscure microbrews. You can certainly taste the honey and the orange flavor. I don’t know if it was slightly watery or not, but it certainly didn’t have a heavy taste to it. I feel like I could have drank the whole six pack and not feel any different even though it was 5.5 ABV. I’d recommend it, but I’m not going to go out of my way to get it.

2015 BJCP Category: 31B Alternative Sugar Beer (base style: 2B International Amber Lager)
AROMA: Sweet nose with a honey-like presence along with clean grainy malt. Slight floral component (unlikely from hops). 8/12
APPEARANCE: Slightly hazy shade of orange proper. Large white soapy suds dissipates quickly and completely. 2/3
FLAVOR: Contrary to the marketing, the palette is indeed sweet with a honey taste. Base malt is a bit generic; mostly amber/pale with faint caramel flavor. No specialty malt character; nor hop presence. Some brief residual sweetness in the aftertaste, otherwise clean. 12/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body with medium-low carbonation. Slightly crisp, but feels flat and undercarbonated for the style. Not refreshing, but easy to drink. Overweight at 5.5%. 3/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Most definitely not a pilsner, just a honey-flavored lager (which makes it interesting, but not good per se). 5/10
TOTAL SCORE: 30/50
Can brought back to room I believe the final new brewery tick available at this resort making it far more successful visit in ratebeer terms than I could have dreamed. Nose is honey and floral. Tastes of honey, cereal, floral, light dried grass. Decent enough. 47574xeCD (1132) - Coventry, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAY 5, 2017

Gelbes leicht rüber bier flacher schaum, im geruch honig etwas blumig leichter hopfen, im Geschmack leicht hopfen kaum süß kräuterig blumiger honig Geschmack, wirklich mal eine schöne Variante von honig bier DrNosha (2335) - Württemberg, Germany, GERMANY - APR 14, 2017
12oz Dose aus Florida. Danke an MBlessing!

This is straight up a pilsner with honey. I really enjoy it living in the state of Florida. Goes down easy with flavor. Surprised about the poor rating. light body, thin feel Travlr (24691) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 4, 2016
Can. Clear golden yellow color, small white head. Lightly floral aroma with some fruity esters. Taste is floral fruity cereal. OK. oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 19, 2016
Pours a golden yellow color. Aromas of grass, cheerios, and some hops. Flavor is typical pilsner, not a lot of hops, a nice smooth taste. Nice and dry in the finish. ghawener (1607) - Santa Tecla, EL SALVADOR - AUG 6, 2016
Can: Better than any local ’beer’, refreshing with a nice twist. Great Brew for Roatan. woodychevy (874) - - JUN 10, 2016
Pretty average- honey definitely comes through as it warms up. Unique pils but once is enough. Honey pairs well with the crisp lager notes.
