Not exactly a good beer, but certainly is very drinkable and refreshing and non-offensive as far as mass-market lagers are concerned. Mildly bitter, slightly sweet tastes with a refreshing finish. Not something I’d seek out, but if I had a choice between most mass-market lagers and this, i’d choose this.

Aroma is sweetish malts/grains. The flavor is sweet grains/malts and a slightly tart finish.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Trader Joe's. Appearance is mostly clear (fine white particulates) yellow-orange with greenish tinge, nice sparkle, 1/2-finger width fizzy white head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is fruity (almost a blueberry quality), cardboard, pilsner malts, musty. Taste is fruit/berry, cracker. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, lively carbonation and dry finish as taste. Overall, an interesting fruity quality for the style makes it slightly intriguing.

Pour from a tall can. Clear golden brew with white head. Aroma of light malts and slightly grassy hops. taste is clean pur malt up front. Wet paper tasting hops emerges and dominates the finish. Wet paper with a little grass. Average palate.A pretty standard macro lager.

About as bad as Dutch lagers get. Classic in its staleness, dry, earthy hop finish. Tried for the first time in 2008 during my first trip to the Netherlands.

From Aug 2007 Purchased as part of a mixed 6Pack at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins. Pours from 12oz bottle a clear medium gold with a good head of foam that stays around for a while and then shrinks to a fine broken layer with some lacing. The smell is on the hoppy side but really does have the nose of a typical Euro Lager. The taste up front has some decent hop character...not citrusy, maybe a touch of grass. The malty side moves in rather weakly about midway through and it finishes fairly dry but kind of watery. The more sips I take, the less "interesting" it becomes. Nothing special here and is really only useful for the sake of trying it and reviewing it.

Can: Clear, darker gold with a white head. Corn, barley scent. Taste is lightly sweet barley malt, corn.... a minor bit of straw-like bittering. Inoffensive, nothing off......very decent, overall.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2017 Light lager beer. Easy to drink but not really an exceptional taste. Nice head from can, which surprised, @99p a can. #ianWhites
