3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Light brown color with nice off-white head that leaves some lacing.
Smell is dominated by roasted malts.
Taste follows the aroma. Just malt, no hop character.
Soft body with just the right amount of carbonation.
Overall this was a decent beer. Highly drinkable.
BACKLOG: Nice old-timey look, but i’m probably being duped by the bottle. Pours amber/light brown, decent retention, two finger head. Smell of dark roasted malts, a bit of nuttiness, touch of caramel. Taste follows, mainly malty, with some sweet molasses and caramel. Dry nuts, a bit of soury zestiness. Mildly bitter roasted finish, with faint earthy hops. Fizzy, light body, easy to drink, rather refreshing in a way. A decent Moldavian beer, would try it again sometime. Aroma of roasted malts, a bit yeasty, more well roasted malts to follow. Nice batch, but encountered deffects in this beer before. solidfunk (8951) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - NOV 28, 2016
Shouldn’t this be listed as an Altbier or something? Seems like what the name suggests. Some old oxidized copper vibe here like the green roof of Canadian Parliament. Doesn’t mesh super well. Hazy brown finish. Tap poured at Beer Shop into 1L plastic bottle in Chisinau. alex_leit (4056) - Minsk, BELARUS - AUG 25, 2016
Bottle 500ml - thanks dnicolaescu!
Nice bronze color, good creamy foam. Aroma: caramel, malty, wort, sweet, boiled corn. Taste: a bit sweet, caramel, malty, a little hop, dried fruits. Not bad.

bottle // poor aroma, old wooden barrel, dumpy and slightly rotten - caramelized malt, stale grains, slightly caramelized sugar, herbs about rotting. medium taste - caramel, without sweetness, stale brown bread, some bitter herbs in the final. light body, medium acidity and carbonization. 500ml bottle (thanks dnicolasceu). Slightly hazy dark chestnut color. Tiny size, off-white head, stays. Metallic, sweet, caramel, copper in aroma. Caramel, roast, sweet, papery taste. Horrible dry papery and dusty hop extract in aftertaste. Messy. Nope. FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 7, 2016

Very sweet caramelly dark malt, almost kvassy aroma, quite nutty and papery, Can’t see a BB date, but this smells and tastes quite old. Prod 07/05/16 - so this is young. In that case I like it more, because this level of nuttiness is hard to find. Taste I’ve pretty much covered. Finish is very very dry, might be too dry for some, but this is just right for me.
Look: clear dark red with sparkling short living white head.
Aroma: caramel, light grassy hops.
Taste: light to moderate-light sweetness balanced with hoppy bitterness.
Flavour; roasted, caramel, sweet dark dried fruits, spicy and grassy hops.
Less sweet caramel finish.

Bottle received via trade with Dorin. Poured a light brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel and some dark fruit. Light bitterness, medium sweetness. Soft carbonation, slightly oily texture, medium body. Pretty decent beer.
