750ml bottle shared at Rating Session 18.06.14. Thanks Rune! Dark reddish hazy body. Sweet scent of prune, plums, figs, dates, some barley and alcohol. The barley, the dark fruits and alcohol is mirrored in taste as well, some caramel and lingering taste of alcohol.

Palme (4812) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 3, 2014
0.5l bottle #006210 shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a blurry deep amber red one, only a small islandy and sidesticking off-white top. A tad milder on the nose than I had hoped for, but it still smells quite nice. It has tones of both raisins and sweet caramel-butter. Clearly slightly oxidized. Some red berries with wet reeds, nuts and alcohol. Not bad at all. It’s just below average and small prickling on the carbonation while it has a oily light sticky feeling in the mouth. Lots of raisins and dried berries the taste. Yeasty nuts and sticky sweet caramel. It also contains a strong and powerful bitterness almost like it’s burning a bit on the tongue and it ends in a warming alco finish. Much tastier than I expected, and not bad at all. 19.02.2014

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 19.02.2014, 0,5l bottle (as Vintage 2008) sampled @ BBGTC tasting:
Small slightly bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, caramel malts, dried fruits, toffee, almond cake, butterscotch, licorice. Taste is slightly harsh, caramel malts, almond essence, grass, dried fruits, butterscotch, hay, oak, soil. Medium bitterness, slightly dry harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Cunningham (8189) - Halden, NORWAY - DEC 5, 2013
Appearance: Clear nutty brown color with a frothy tan head that stays in the glass a long time. Nice lacing.
Aroma: Fruity, vinous and malty.
Palate: Full body. Sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft to average carbonation.
Taste: Malty, vinous and fruity. Very well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: A bit to sweet for me. Anyway a solid ale.
Personal stats: Bottle (as Vintage Beer 2008 – no 006694) from Systembolaget in Uddevalla, Sweden.

circinus (323) - SWEDEN - AUG 31, 2013
Bottle 50 cl from Systembolaget. Hazy ruby with brown elements, beige head. Old gone-bad fruit, dark fruit, sweet licorice, sourness. Full body, medium carbonation, dry mouthfeel. Really strange, infected? Quite bad.

Franzen (620) - SWEDEN - AUG 31, 2013
Bottle from systembolaget. The aroma is pretty unpleasant with an aroma of rotten fruit. Nice enough appearance with a clear deep ruby color, Sweet dark fruit flavour with a sour bit rotten finish. A pretty foul beer. Maybe mine is infected I don’t know, but my recomendation is to avoid.
