Bright orange colored with little yellow head. Cloudy appearance. Strong alcohol in raisinny aroma with some sweetness, port wine and grains. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is also raisinny with same sweetness and mild, still positive cardboard. Aftertaste dries still. cellar (508) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 10, 2008

Hazy amber with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with caramel and alcohol notes. Very sweet flavor with notes of caramel, hops, fruits and alcohol. To boozy and a bit unbalanced. Skinnyviking (9669) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 19, 2008
Bottle. High fluffy but lasting off-white head leaving nice curtains. Hazy orange thick looking body. Powerful barley malt aroma and notes of alcohol. Flavor dominated by barley malt but it has fruity flavors as well. Alcohol is tastable but well hidden by the hops bitterness. Low carbonation and a long bitter sweet aftertaste. UPDATED: JUL 16, 2011 Bottle. Pours a hazy, orange body with a beige head. Heavy malty aroma with beef-stock and sweetness, as well as fruity hops. Sweet and fruity flavor too, with a beef-stocky, long malty finish. Full body. Can’t really decide if it’s lovely or just nice, I guess it’s just nice, but that ain’t bad either. Rating: 7-4-7-4-14-3.6. 071228Adenila (1560) - DENMARK - FEB 18, 2008
Bottle, as Vintage Beer 2008. A clear-looking dark amber beer with a minimal head. Quite oily pour. Sugary, malty and slightly meaty nose where there’s also room for a touch of licorice, some hops and a gose of caramel. Warming on the palate, rounded and full-bodied. Sufficient carbonation. The flavor has mostly caramel maltyness and fruityness, hints of licorice and dried fruits. Lasting and warming finish. A nice barley wine, without being world class in any way. 110716
Hazy amber look with a decent white head. Aroma is pretty light for a barly, mainly grain and sweet caramel, but also a good amount of alchohol. Flavor is powerfull alchoholic with sweet malts used to cover it up, grainy and alchoholic finish. Beer5000 (6672) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 14, 2008
500 ml bottle. Almost clear, dark golden body with a rather small off-white head. Aroma is heavy, sweet malt and alcohol. Flavor is sweet malt, syrup, sugar and alcohol. To sweet and too much alcohol. gunnfryd (15175) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 9, 2008

Muddy light copper beer with a big and firm tan head leaving some lace. Heavy malty aroma with a green apple note. Sweet and malty flavour covered by a very dominating alcohol. Way too sweet, way to alcoholic.
