COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pinball (12184) - Copenhagen, - MAY 10, 2013
bottle from kvickly spinderiet, shared with Gitte. dark brown, gray to offwhite head. aroma of roasted malts and licorice, also more licorice and caramel than rousted malts though. a bit weird. Flavor is licorice, chilies, mild roasted malts, mild hops. I feel a little chilli bite in this one, probably got chillies in it too. The stout part of the flavor is a bit weak.

50cl bf:?, Fakta Juelsminde. - Kort: very Scandinavian lakrids take on a stout/Schwarzbier crossover. - Pleasing mauvish-rimmed black translucent runny pour. Aroma of mineral liquorice drops, Haribo or more Scandi-styled, dropped into a clean, sweeter Schwarzbier. Flavours of sweetly coated liquorice, mininal cocoa powder and earthy-damp flavours. Clean like candy, - although i prefer both my stouts and Schwarzbier drier. - Did not pick up on the added chili or pepper, but it went fine with manchego...

larsga (7602) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 15, 2016
Huge beige head. Nearly opaque black body with faint brown glow at bottom. Earthy licorice aroma with mealy sugary notes. Dry-sweet earthy licorice taste with salty roasty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish earthy licorice aftertaste with roasty salty notes. Not very complicated, but vivid, clear, and harmonic. I like it. (0.5l bottle, from SuperBrugsen Fredericia.)

A danish, dark brown, ecological, liqourice stout with black pepper, chili pepper, liqourice and liqourice root, and with very high, creamy, light brown head. Aroma is liqourice, malt, light caramel, roasted, light hot / spicy, light coffee. Taste is sweet and light bitter.

The color is black with beige head, looks nice. Aroma of pepper and licorice. Taste is a bit week in the beginning, but you get flauvour of pepper, licorice and chili after a short while. It’s though not enough to give the taste an extra kick. I was expecting more from this beer.

(6) Slightly above average. Fine liquorice taste. I would have liked a bit more liquorice - thats just me.

Full-bodied foam on the stout to be slowly poured into the glass over several times so that the foam just have time to accumulate again. Smells enticing hard roasted malt and a little bit of smoked malt. The taste is probably a little water from the start and did not quite live up to the expectation of stout. After some time, it has a fine, but a little thin, the taste of English licorice. Thus lives the course up to its name, but it lacks just a little stout characther in its fullness to be totally on top. Hop bitterness is little high for the type, but in this case, it is quite good for the right pulls a little extra licorice aftertaste.

Bottle from Danish Deli, Lux. Dark black with milky head. Nose oily with licorice and malts. Taste dark fruits, licorice, malts, caramel. Pretty nice.
