75 cl [email protected] in straight [email protected] 6 degrees C. Pours a hazy greyish yellow with small white head with low retention. Sweet malty, slightly boozy aroma. Taste dominated by sweet malt, heavy with the alcohol too present. Not much hop nor malt to distinguish it. Low carbonation and slightly oily texture. Aftertaste also with sweet maltiness and alcohol. Didn’t look good, didn’t smell good and didn’t taste good. This particular bottle was not off in my oppinion so I regard it as a miss from Ørbæk!

Copenhagen 2/9 2016. 75 cl bottle from Rema1000. The label is a full educational booklet about Dag the god of daytime in Norse Mythology and his rich relation to beer drinking. Pours slightly hazy yellow with small white head. Settles af small patches of floating foam. Aroma is very sweet with light tart notes. Sweet malt, sugar and gooseberry. Medium carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor has sugary malty sweetness followed by a harsh bitterness with sour notes. Aftertaste is fairly sweet. Surprisingly boozy despite the fairly low ABV. Too sweet by several degrees for my taste buds - I wonder if Ørbæk was a bit too inspired by mjød when they conceived this.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, caramel, and straw, leading to a dry finish.

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing! Sweetish malty brew, very mild and easy to drink. Hints of sugar in the background. Nice mild sugary grainy aftertaste with hints of neutral bitterness.

Bottle from trade with fonefan, many thanks!

75cl bottle shared with Gitte. clear yellow, small white head. Mild malty aroma, not much aroma. seems to be pretty tight though, not herbal, not sweet, slightly bitter hoppy. Flavor resembles south european lager, has a slight sweet note to it, that reminds me a little bit about the flowery notes in a belgian blonde, however, more bitter and lagerish flavors too of course. The end is slighlty more pils bitter , overall not that bad, but a bit untraditional. If i *had* to drink 6.5% lager, then this one would be considered.

Fresh foamy strong pale lager with reasonable malty aroma. The taste is most sweet of malt and brings not really something new you have not tasted before. Palete is partially alcoholic but get slightly lower by a sensible hoppy bitterness that keeps a long aftertaste. It is no bad strong pale lager, but not something that puts large footprint in memory. A beer that is acceptable.
