COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. 6.8%. Best before 27.08.17. Pours a clear, deep golden/dark amber, with a diminishing, light tan head. Slight lacing. Malty aroma, a bit sugary, with dark fruit (plums), yeast, and a hint of ...seaweed? The latter disappears as it warms though. Flavour is malty with dark fruits as well. Creamy hint, mixed with a slightly tart note; giving a slight resemblance of rhubarb porridge. Dryish, malty, dark fruit finish, with light grainy and milky notes. Slightly tart as well. Overall okay, if nothing special. 12.04.17.

Bottled (backlog). Reddish brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruits, toffee, caramel, raisins and some Madeira sweetness. Flavour is alcohol, raisin, metal, some wood, caramel and toffee. Also a bunch of burnt sugar to it.

Pours amber colour with huge and foamy beige head that leaves moderate-heavy lacing. Aroma of fruity sweetness with nuts, caramel and yeasty notes. Not really strong scent, but still noticeable and delightful. Sweetish, moderate to heavy, caramel malty flavour with touch of hops, yeast and some fruit as well - could be richer and with more depth, but is somewhat hidden behind a high alcocol profile. Brown sugar and sweet, warming alcohol in the finish, however with little watery palate. Not the best as such, but still a decent attempt.

Farven er orangebrun med en beige skumkrone. Aromaen er brød, karamel og en anelse lakrids. Smagen er malt og alkohol.

It has some very weak nondeScript fruit notes at the beginning and at the end only a slight hop bitterness is hardly felt. Everything that could and should have unfolded in the spectrum between start and finish is completely drowned out by a sweetness that both tastes synthetic and is too dominant in the beer. It is a disappointment, and fall far from my view of an abbey ale.

Typical Danish brown beer with a plain but good and flavorful taste. Doesn't give a long lasting impression.

[email protected] Amber haze small head. Stale honey. Some nuts and Caramalty notes. Firm and tasty. No hoppy flavours left. Dry oaky.

Ok ale with a nice colour and taste. Aroma is pleasant but not very strong. Taste could be richer but is dominated by the high alcohol content. Not bad with a nice meal.
