2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Not really impressed by this one... pretty one-dimensional, in both taste and nose... bizar acidity in the aftertaste.. if i was a bit harsh, I might say that this was a piss-take on the style.. Extra stout..? Hardly..!
Bottle @ Hoem. Pours dark brown with a small light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, little licorice. Flavor is malty, coffee, roast, bread, chocolate, licorice. Medium body, soft carbonation. 100710 JanLaursen (3227) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 24, 2011
Pitch black beer with a nice and quite stable cappuccino brown head. Aroma of smoke, toasted malt and a touch of grandma’s cold postwar coffee a la Rich. Taste is bitter-sweet, roasted and a little smoky with great mouthfeel and a delicious creamy texture. Long, dry, bitter finish and soft carb. Impressive that it kicks so much ass with an ABV of only 5 per cent. A rare thumbs-up to the otherwise boring Ørbæk Brewery from here. POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - FEB 22, 2011
Bottle. Very dark with a beige head. Sweet aroma with some roasted coffee. Roasted dry coffee flavor. larsga (7539) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 6, 2010
Medium pale brown head. Pretty deep red body. Roasty chocolate and toffee aroma with hoppy notes. Dry roasty minty pine needle taste with chocolate pudding and coffee notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry chocolatey coffee aftertaste with burnt minty notes. Very nice and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, Super Spar, Vejby Strand.) Sigmund (7470) - Tau, NORWAY - MAY 5, 2010
UPDATED: MAY 6, 2010 500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 5%. Organic. Black colour, reddish brown in the highlights. Big to moderate beige head. Roasty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, liquorice and coffee. The mostly dry flavour has some initial hints of acidity, and the mouthfeel could be fuller. Moderate roasty notes of coffee, hints of cocoa, "dusty" hops in the finish. Fair enough, but not the best stout I’ve had.

Thinnish for a stout.
Brown with a dense grey head. Roasted aroma, like caffe latte and some cocoa. The flavour is mocca with a fine bitter ending. A bit liquorice in there too.
