Copenhagen 26/7 2017. 50 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. Drawing of what looks like a baker with a mug of foamy beer. Pours hazy amber with a red tinge and off-white head. Settles as thin but compact layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Aroma is kind of boozy and sweet. Sugary marzipan, plums and sherry. Soft carbonation and thick oily palate. Flavor is heavy sweet followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet caramel. Lingering. Kind of unbalanced and overly sweet. Like drinking Plums in Madeira. That can be perfectly all right as long you only have to endure one. nybol (2347) - DENMARK - JUL 14, 2017

It’s slightly hazy red copper with a creamy and lasting head. The aroma lovely notes of caramel and preserved and dried fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of load of caramel, burnt sugar and roasted malt, dark dried fruits, a touch of licorice and the alcohol is just a pleasantly warming sensation, especially towards the slightly spice finish. Bottle. Pours slightly hazy ruby / copper brown with abundant, airy but stable light beige head - højt skum, indeed. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, fruit, and a touch of nuts. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with sweet notes of fruit and caramel malt. Bitter finish of hops and alcohol. Warming alcohol presence. Decent. #1974: a decent beer to celebrate the year MiP was born. Højt skum, min ven! :-) mikkellund42 (909) - DENMARK - OCT 20, 2013
Bottle. Pours dark clear copper and does indeed have a huge light brown head (højt skum). Aroma is ripe Granny Smith apples, caramel, malt, plum, yeast, dark bread and porridge. Taste is initial medium sweet then light sour and finally medium bitter. Body is light oily with medium carbonation. Finish is long and sweet with notes of caramel, malt, wineous alcohol and ripe fruit. Alcohol is too dominating. Idiosynkrasie (7974) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - AUG 25, 2013
500ml bottle. Clear ruby red colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Fruity aroma has notes of red fruit, red currant, raspberry, etc. Taste is minimally sweet malty, hints of toffee, dry hoppy overtones. Resembles a underdeveloped Barley Wine. Bottle. Medium high off-white lasting head. Hazy dark amber body. Cocoa cream caramel sweet and malty aroma and flavor with a low carbonation and a long sweet finish. Alcohol well hidden by the sweetness of the beer.
