Bottle. 7.0%. Best before 17.02.15. Pours a slightly hazy deep/golden amber, with a yellowish tan head. Sweet, malty and cereal aroma. Light molasses note deep down. Fruity as it warms. Flavour is sweet, malty and cereals as well, with a hint of yeast and a light tart note. Feels a bit stale. Bit of dark fruits as it warms. Finish is sweet with dark fruits and a light perfumy yeast note. Bit of citrusy hops as well. Lingering apple/grassy note. A bit too much carbonation. Overall so-so. Not really bad, but not particularly good or interesting either, and not a good representative of the style. 30.05.14.

Rune (12944) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAY 7, 2014
Big bottle topped with a cork and a wire, thanks to Skinnyviking. Opens with a good shot followed by smoke. Fawn-coloured head remaining over a deep, dark-red coloured body. Firm lacework. Sweet aroma of prunes and dark malts. Similar sweet taste of dried fruits and dark malts, caramel and liquorice, half-dry. Slightly roasted endnotes. Medium bodied. Rather too sweet ,but alright in smaller amounts (hotel room, Copenhagen 01.05.2014).

75 cl. flaske med champagne-prop. 7 % .

Dark brown with medium brown head. Aroma sweet malts, raisins, dried fruits. Taste sweet, sugar, dried fruits. Nice brew.

KoNrRiI (1552) - Århus, DENMARK - APR 4, 2014
0.75 bottle. Very dark crimson color and a small, egg batter head. Mixed aroma, quite vinous, dark fruits, caramel, butter, a little toast, and hints of spices. Sweet taste, a lot of caramel and toast, dark fruits, and a touch of licorice. Medium to full body, creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is much bitterer than the rest; it also features much more licorice. Overall the beer is really good and multifaceted; the swift transition from sweet taste to bitter finish is rather unexpected and spoils the initial experience a little bit, however after a few sips one gets used to it.

Bamsen78 (5451) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 29, 2014
Bottle. Pours clear copper brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, hops, caramel and butter. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, with fruity notes and touches of hops. Rather boozy. Sweetish afterste. OK but too sweet for the style.

MiP (15920) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 29, 2014
Bottle, 7%. OK malty aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour is roasted and creamy, perhaps even buttery. A little sweet, but not sugary at all. Good alcohol level.
