Copenhagen 2/4 2017. 75 cl bottle from Fakta. A bucket of mead and two stern guards on the label. I suppose that they are trying to tell me that this brew is worth protecting. Pours slightly cloudy dark reddish amber with bubbly white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam. Aroma is quite sweet. Sweet fermented fruit, prunes, figs, licorice and a little boozy. Sugary. Soft carbonation and medium thick palate. Flavor is sweet - but not overwhelmingly so. A little thin to be honest. Light bitterness. Aftertaste of licorice and sugar lumps. A sweet supplement to the Easter Lunch table - and I wonder why they need two stern guards to ensure that nobody runs away with it.

BelgiskOlklub (1078) - Viby J, DENMARK - APR 3, 2015
Hazy brown body and a creamy off-white lasting head. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, woody. The taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter. Well balanced. Sticky texture.

Skinnyviking (9550) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 24, 2015
Bottle at home. High creamy and long lasting off-white head. Cloudy dark brown body. Sweet and dusty roasted malt caramel chestnuts aroma. Sweet roasted malt caramel cocoa flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long sweet finish. Well balanced with a nicely subdued alcohol percentage.

PapaVillum (943) - Valby, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2014
75 cl, flaske, 7,0 % ABV, 50 års gave fra Oliver Handschuh - tak! 10. juni 2014. Solidt arbejde. Forholdsvis god lang eftersmag uden at sprænge skalaen.

NosirIwont (2512) - Frederikssund, DENMARK - MAY 29, 2014
Bottle. 7.0%. Best before 17.02.15. Pours a slightly hazy deep/golden amber, with a yellowish tan head. Sweet, malty and cereal aroma. Light molasses note deep down. Fruity as it warms. Flavour is sweet, malty and cereals as well, with a hint of yeast and a light tart note. Feels a bit stale. Bit of dark fruits as it warms. Finish is sweet with dark fruits and a light perfumy yeast note. Bit of citrusy hops as well. Lingering apple/grassy note. A bit too much carbonation. Overall so-so. Not really bad, but not particularly good or interesting either, and not a good representative of the style. 30.05.14.
