Bottle 750ml @ fonefanyngwie (17378) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 10, 2012
Pours clear deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, cinnamon, clove and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a spicy and caramel finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle, 75cl corked. A dense, finger-thick, light beige head sits on top of a clear, reddish brown body. The aroma is mostly spiced, with cloves and some cardamom. Suggestions of malty sweetness to be found in the flavor aren’t put to shame. Like the aroma, the flavor is mostly spiced. Some sweetness, and also a touch of bitterness. Full body, soft carbonation. Bitter and spiced finish. A quite pleasant one, although I think it’s too much on the spiced side. 121110 Rasmus40 (22694) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - NOV 10, 2012

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is ruby. Aroma and taste are xmas spices, caramel, malt and hops. Im not fond of this amount of xmas spices in beers, so it does not have the best balance.

The look is clearly in the very top. The taste, it’s pretty heavily spiced, possibly with cloves. It is recommended to leave it for 2-3 days after opening. It is clearly a Christmas beer to be drunk for desserts or alone, not for the main dishes. To be drunk slowly and oxidized like wine. One should not be afraid to let it rest at room temperature 1-3 days, there are still plenty of bubbles and foam. This is the best Christmas beer I’ve tasted so far. A Christmas beer should be one you like to drink a lot of, but also quickly get tired of just like roast pork and duck, while being something one is looking forward to next year. faroeviking (11405) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - NOV 6, 2012

Bottle, bought @ Netto, Haderslev. Pours lovely, clear chestnut with a medium, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has caramel, chestnut, almonds, cloves, good yeasty character. Medium carbonation, fine fairly creamy and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour has mild spice, dryish, sweet almonds, toasted caramel. Quite lovely balance between spice, sweetness and dryness. Perhaps just a bit thin. charlotte (5499) - rødovre, DENMARK - OCT 26, 2012
